College How Do I Become Nca Staff And Nca All-american???

NCA Staff is different for each region and year. Regions with more camps obviously require more staff to hire, plus certain areas of the country are more competitive than others. There is no "set requirement" of what gets hired.....it just depends on what they need in your area that season. That being said, most of the kids I staffed with in my region had a standing tuck (not saying that is a requirement because not everyone does have one, just that many do). I will also tell you that they look for exceptionally clean skills (proper technique for jumps, stunts, tumbling, sharp motions) AND the personality to teach. It's great if people can throw nice high level skills, but they mean nothing if you cannot communicate how to do those skills effectively. If you aren't one to be patient with kids or with learning lots of cheers/chants from a DVD on your own time to whip out on the fly at camps when needed, then trust me, this isn't the job for you. If all that sounds great, then either attend an open audition (usually during late fall/winter) or send in a skills video and fill out the application according to what is on the website. Good Luck!

I'm not sure on all the specifics, my daughter is a 3x NCA Collegiate All American, and a staffer. At that time she had to show specific Coed stunts and throw a full. I'm pretty sure you can read more about it on varsity.com-NCA- Camps. Good Luck to you!

I made All American last year! I'm not sure the coed stunt requirement but I know for all girl it was a full up bump down switch up stretch double down. For tumbling you have to have a running full, standing tuck, and a good toe touch! I think the coed stunt is online somewhere. As for staff this is my first year but I stood out at college camp and got app-ed! Good luck!
