I actually miss really weird irish/uk food. Like Cadbury chocolates/buttons and shrimp cocktail crisps and chips cheese and garlic, chicken burgers from Istanbul, and Irish breakfasts. And bacon fries-which are a combo of cheesy poofs and fritos but they taste like bacon. I have friends who ship them to me by the case. Its awesome.

Although I don't miss them trying to put onions in mash. No. Just no.

Sorry for the double post but has anyone ever heard of Shake Shack? They are bringing one to Covent Gardens, London and it looks so good! Think they have a few in New York

Shake Shack is NYC. So yummy- not my favorite burger, but you get that walk-up burger feel for a decent price. They have awesome milkshakes and frozen custards too!

Well, if you're ever in the Syracuse/Upstate NY area, here are a few things we have that you should definitely seek out:

Wegmans - haha everyone loves Wegmans. People seriously freak out about it, it's hysterical, even though its just a grocery store. They have the best subs though, you have to get one (with the sub oil).

Wegmans is like my crack dealer, just can't stay away. Have to visit Every. Single. Day.

Something that makes me happy about this is the huge types of food that ISN'T available everywhere. I don't want the entire US to be the same no matter where you are. And that goes for architecture and culture and people as well as food.

Viva la difference!

Its kinda awesome. Going from ct to NYC isn't a huge trip, but the little differences from here to my other home makes each place special.

My dad was in Singapore and found Seaweed and Salt flavored Pringles. Gross!!

Orange Leaf is huge here, plus some other frozen yogurt places.

I'm excited for the county and state fair to get my hands on a tenderloin and an elephant ear :D

Well this thread makes me feel ultra lame that I now live in a tourist city and most of what would be the usual small, downtown restaurants are just tourist traps with horrible food and service. And outside of the city seems to be your usual chain restaurants.

But if you're ever in Columbus, OH you seriously need to get to Thurman's Cafe and/or Schmidt's Sausage Haus. Yes, they were both on Man vs. Food, but they are still awesome. The burgers at Thurman's are worth the 2 hour wait (always has been that long even before the show) and the Bahama Mama sausage at Schmidt's tastes amazing. I regret not buying a few packages of them before I moved down here because nothing compares with them. Another great place in Columbus is Dirty Franks Hot Dog Palace. They are legitimately the best hot dogs I've ever had.
