lol...all we know is that it is a competition, in Philly April 5-6, in which many of the top teams around the country will be attending. It is invite only. The rest of the teams are being announced today, and then details will follow.

Sounds like they fixed what was holding people back. So now all the pieces are taking into place.

This is getting better every day. Very excited to see this event. The more teams announced I see no weaknesses. This is truly a premier event. Nothing like we have ever seen.

All those poor kids had the better part of 5 hours of sleep between semis and finals. It wasn't fair to any of them and (to me) explains why so many teams racked up deductions. There was no opportunity for the 5 hour SE routine practice/revamp between day 1 and 2, those kids didn't even have time to rest.

I do not feel this is not totally valid. West coast teams are at a disadvantage from the get go at worlds, it does not matter the division if they have morning call times. Try having an 8 am performance time and being from California. My daughter's team had that in 2011.

Every time those ping pong balls get pulled during the draw, we always hope for a later time for semis and finals!

My point was that the entire division got the shaft, not just the California teams (which I didn't say anything about one way or the other). It was just a general lament on their part that IMO the division was a mess (as was pointed out) due in large part to how they were set up to compete. It wasn't fair to any team in that division.

I agree it's hard on any team competing on the opposite coast and that's true of all divisions surely. But add on top of that there was no time for any of these kids to rest and you have the perfect setting for deduction central. Kudos to BlackOps for a fierce routine (including the time lag) under these conditions.
