was correcting a typo in his response to me sitdown instead of shutdown
Our policy is this, when on my time, practice or wherever you represent the gym. Now this covers parades etc. we also have it that anytime you are in gym attire, if its illegal you don't do it. These two were not at practice, night before event, we hasn't registered yet, with their parents on street clothes. I could have pushed it, but with the parents there made it an example. On past I have kicked off kids for smoking while in uniform and drinking in uniform at a party. It was a fine line of whose time it was on, I handled it the best way I knew how. It was hard for apology and for parents to.

Come to Austin!! When CA announced they were opening in Austin, gyms were whipping up contracts like nobody's business!!! lol
We have a payment agreement that says we are responsible for all fees up until the time the child leaves the gym, you must give 30 days notice of intent to pull out, and that if you do not finish the season you are not eligible to cheer with the gym next season, ut nothing about not being able to go to another gym.

She said kids were drunk. This ep we were at is a very good and quality event, all the athletes were with their parents and or legal guardian. The drinking thing is bothering me. Those parents are good people. Like I said, I am fine, stick with me. I started this thread and am fine with it. I can take as good as I get. Any and all emails sent regarding business matters children are private. Blast me. I am ok with that. There are many people who I am sure don't like nor care for me. It's life. I very outspoken, this person, I don't know their name, has every right to come on here or anywhere and state her side. Just don't bring up what other parents and kids do. That is not hurtful towards me that is just being mean.

Point of order from an objective observer:

This post makes it sound like you're refuting there was alcohol involved which is clearly not the case from later posts where you talked about sitting down with parents and punishing kids. Perhaps I read it wrong but getting caught up on the last few pages it sounded like your story changed from "they weren't drinking and are wholesome folks" to "I don't believe the wholesome folks that said the kids only had a sip and I had to talk to the parents and punish the kids."

I'm not saying you were "caught" in a lie, but the way this initial response is worded it sortof sounds like that.

The year before we joined ACE, two guys on Warriors were drinking while the team was in Nashville for WCA. Happy sent them home and reworked the routine. One of the best moves he ever made for the long term success of the gym even though it hurt the team at that comp.

In my mind, if they are in the city for the competition, they are on "your" time. But we all make mistakes from time to time and just have to learn and not make the same ones.

I will say, if you owe parents money, you should clear that up. Even if you have to make payments over time.

I'm just fascinated by all of this. Because they know each other but we don't so it's like getting to referee a private conversation. I'm intrigued..and now have a delicious cup of apple juice to go with it! :enjoyshow:
I know! I feel like a moderator in a presidential debate.

And now back to you, you have two minutes for a rebuttal and you cannot reference your opponents youth and inexperience.
