Hey everyone- I mentioned wayyyyy back ago that I'm running the nike half marathon in October- I'm doing it with Team in Training which means I have to come up with fundraising ideas.

I still need to come up with some more ideas and such but for my specific team I made bows so I thought I would make a few more and see if anyone here was interested in them.

I'd be selling them for $13.10 since I am running 13.1 miles. Plus shipping ($5) all $13.10 will go directly to my LLS fund.

The bows are white with a purple/glitter vinyl cut of the golden gate bridge (because that's where I'll be running!)

aaaaaaaand the perfect car insurance wouldn't be available in Maine. :banghead:

I also got comparable rates from Allstate, Geico, State Farm etc. Are you a military dependent/have a parent that served because you could also get USAA. My mom pushed me to go to USAA but they were actually a little bit more expensive than ESurance.

I also think the my rate was so low because of my age (27)...driving record (clean, knock on wood), computer literacy (they asked me if I had a pay pal account to determine that... I digress.... ) and my education (I have a masters)....I know it would be a lot more for my 18 yr old sister to get insurance...or anyone under 25... I'd just call and talk to agents rather than doing it online...and when searching don't put your information on website...because they will stalk you to no end.

So I'm chilling at the airport.... Waiting for my flight.... I don't like flying. The fog is creeping in and it's making me nervous. I have no idea how I'm going to survive a flight from San Francisco to London if I can't even stand flying from SF to Alaska.

Thanks! A lot of flights have been diverted to Oakland and San Jose (as in my case) so now a lot of people are waiting for shuttles.
My mom has been watching the news and she said that all 303 passengers aboard the flight from South Korea are accounted for. I don't know about injuries, but it sounds like everyone is alive, which is good. I've only seen two ambulances go by, so it seems like nothing super awful.
But it definitely sucks. I was waiting at my gate and over the loudspeaker came someone saying the airport is closed. And then a lady walked over and I overheard her talking saying she saw a plane on fire. It was scary! But then we all got further instruction and me and 200+ people are waiting for shuttles to take us to where our flights were diverted to....
