Thank god for this section of the fierce board! Heres a quick backstory...i am taking online classes right now and am working on a group project. I misunderstood directions and turned our group rough draft in before everyone felt it was ready. One of my group members sent me a nasty text, pointing out my mistake. I apologized to her and immediately contacted our teacher, who told me it was not a big deal and she would allow a resubmission. No harm, no foul. No one else in our group was involved in this mishap, and seeing that I communicated to the lady who sent me the text, and told her we could fix it, I left it at that.

Now, I just went into my online classroom to find a 3 paragraph message to our group from the one who sent me the text, about how she is beside herself with what I did and sooooo disappointed, she can't even express it in words. She then goes on to tell the group that clearly I can't be trusted and working with me is going to be an issue.

Are you kidding me right now? As soon as she pointed out my mistake, I not only owned up to it, I also fixed it! This was so unnecessary and now I have no desire to work with this lady anymore! I am just so annoyed.

End rant.

Group projects ALWAYS suck. I did a report with two other girls. The teacher told us to pick a leader, so one girl, Joanna, decides to be the leader. After a hour and a half of JUST ME doing research and writing, me an Tianna decided to tell her that she can't just talk to to people the entire time, and she can't be the leader. Then, I become leader since Tianna tells me to. I do a pretty good job, but because Tianna hates me for some reason, she decided to not talk to me, tell people I stalked her my (real) best friend autumn, and Kennedy, and not do the project. Group projects never end well.

Well, I ended up in a huge fight with my "best friend" Tianna, and I ended up doing the poster, brochure, the entire speech, and half of the power point. Group projects suck, and there's always a huge fight. And this time not one, but TWO people free loaded.

I HATE group projects, unless I'm with people who like me and help me. :)

Just curious, how old is this person?

Know that the other people in the group are probably thinking the same thing you are - WTF? She seems a bit off her rocker. I'd ignore her. You made a mistake, apologized, and fixed it. You can't do more than that. Don't get sucked into her BS drama. :)

She's a mom of 3 and I believe in her 40s! This is why I am even more shocked by her behavior. I am in my 30s and would NEVER handle a situation the way she did! Thankfully, I am really great with words and I replied in a way that says nothing bad, but had a nasty undertone. :)

Oh man, I wish I had that talent! Seriously! I'm way too direct and say exactly what I feel, which isn't always good. I love hearing a sweet yet cutting reply sometimes. LOL!

Not in several years...

Feeling kind of bad. A friend of mine is going to jury duty today in CA. I commented on her Facebook post how to absolutely get out of it, but ended with I'd like to be on a jury. I've never been called. Just we as reporters (me for sure) don't want to hear about your aunt's third cousin's sister who may or may not have, but after another 30 mins down the line: yes, I can be fair and impartial, then go take down the conference and someone uses their strike. I was hungry an hour ago. If one starts talking with their random stories, they all jump in. I mean, hey, I would want people on a jury for me that wanted to be there. If you're already hating it before you get in the door. . .

Ha! She just responded with something along the lines of "I am very sorry. I posted this before you and I spoke and for some reason I was not able to delete this message."

What she doesn't realize is there is a time stamp on her message and it is hours after her and I spoke. Love when people walk away with their tails between their legs!

I hate online group work. It's the main reason I dropped my Master's program. All if the classes involved working in groups and there is always one person like you mentioned.
