From the Article:

"Abdul also brings obvious megacelebrity to Ignite!, instantly elevating the cheerleading competition to a national level with the ability to attract star judges, championship dancers and cheerleaders and national media attention."

Excellent! The winners can be crowned national champions!
Star judges - hey, maybe Simon will be there after all.

Lets define star judges. Famous, highly qualified, or just plain old qualified?

Her "background" was being a HS cheerleader, a Laker Girl, and a dance choreographer. None of which has anything to do with All Star cheer. All those classes will cost money, just like they do at dance conventions.
And is everyone forgetting her other background of being perpetually impaired?!

I am not sure that I am ready to write off this comp yet. I think that it might succeed...but, knowing her recent penchant for reality comps, I wonder if it means that we will be seeing "So you think you can cheer " soon.

The RI comp is Jan 3rd. There goes any sort of Christmas/New Year's "break" for a lot of the attendees

Some of the most successful people have ideas but, no knowledge of the industry they desire to get into, they are just wise enough to pick the brains of those that do. I'm not saying she will be a huge success but, I am willing, and looking forward to something out of the ordinary. "All those classes will cost money," yes, I agree but, so do the Dippin Dots, the Honey Roasted Almonds, Spirit Wear, Stunt Stands, Magazine Covers, iPhone Cases, Charms, Bows, and everything else they sell and we purchase at these events.

I'm not a family member, friend, nor neighbor so I can't speak on her "perpetually impaired" status, however, after the media attacked her she came out and said she suffers from CRPS. A syndrome that is treated with the same drugs used to treat Rheumatoid Arthritis and Parkinson's Disease which, ironically, can cause slurred speech, dizziness, and limb weakness. Call me crazy but, I tend to have a soft spot for those that suffer pain on a continual basis.

Come on @CAPheebersMom, what did poor Paula ever do to you?

I think its awesome that she talked to gyms and asked what they would like to see instead of randomly throwing together an event for her own publicity.
