I found out recently that my ex-but-still-best-friend relapsed. A friend of mine saw him smoking weed the other day and he's posted pics of him smoking from a pipe on FB. And I know some people don't see a problem with tobacco and marijuana usage, but I do. And it makes me sad. I'm thinking about talking to him or writing him a letter or something to say how I feel, in a loving, non-judgmental, and yet honest way. And he's a very strong Christian, so he knows better but I think he's just fallen again. I really want him to get better.
Am I overreacting? And what can I do?

You just need to show your support and love. It's very hard for people to quit things like that. I don't think your over-reacting, when my best guy friend Jared (jarebear <3) was depressed and was about to cut himself, I called him and literally cried over the phone and told him I loved him and that there was other ways to deal with depression, and that he needs to be positive. maybe things are going on in your friends life and he uses drugs to deal with them. Just take things slow, but show him that tobacco isn't the right thing. It's a slow progress but just show your support, PM me for more advice :) , I know how tough it is to see a friend do something like that.
