Oh dear, you have sort of been busted. Don't be too upset. Everyone has had their moments being young and stupid. It happens. I am in my 30s and still have my moments. Your best course of action here is to admit what you did wrong, apologize, and learn from it. What you say on the internet stays on the internet and can come back to haunt you. Take this as a learning experience.

Judging by your behavior here, perhaps you are on a lower level team because your coach thinking you need to grow in the maturity department (not an insult. Some people just are not emotionally ready for higher level teams and need time to grow.). They only way you will know is to talk to them.

Best of luck.

OA's junior 3 won the summit... And you were on that team and now a level 1? At the same time you weren't cheering because you took 4 years off. Okay
Also just threw a ro bhs again for the first time but is working doubles. I agree with everyone else. I think you need to just come clean about what you got yourself into here and start again. Good luck with whatever level or team you are really a part of though.

Although I agree with everyone that this doesn't look good......as a parent I'd like to remind everyone that according to her profile she is 13 years old. Let's treat her the way we would want someone to treat our own 13 year old. (Meaning it's not wrong to question contradictory stories......but this has the potential to get ugly and a year ago my Little was 13.....I would have wanted someone to say "Hey this is a kid.....")

Almost nothing stays in the dark at fierceboard ;-)

For the question if quit or not:
I would totally recommend talking to your coaches.
Especially because you posted with your name and gym you are going to, - before someone else does.

It's always good to be honest and i'm not trying to be offensive, just an advice.

If i as a coach would read one of my girls asking for advice on a message board - i'd be at least dissapointed.

Hope you will make a decision that will be the right fit for you.

Okay so at the begining of this season after i made a level 1 team my coach told me and 4 other girls that we were most likely being moved up to level 2 at the end of the summer. When i was 8 i had my bhs roundoff bhs tuck and layout but i got injured and was out of cheer for 4 years and when i went back to cheerleading this season i was working on my bhs again. I got it back on tuesday and did my round off bhs on wednesday. On thursday my coach announced the people moving up to level 2. She called all 4 girls except for me. So im stuck on a level 1 team not learning anything bassiclly wasting money for nothing. Im wondering if i should quit and just take tumbling lessons and try and get onto a higher level next year or stay on level 1. And im also wondering if i should ask my coach why i didnt get moved up? Please give me some advice

As a mom of one of your teammates, here's my advice and thoughts... For starters, please think about how this might make the other girls feel. You're basically saying your stuck with kids you think you're skills are better than. There were a bunch of younger girls who had skills to move to level 2, but were kept at lvl 1. If you're going to be miserable or unhappy or not give 110%, then maybe taking this season off would benefit not only you, but you're teammates as well. I know the younger girls have made peace with it. Also, as another person said there are a LOT of OA people on the boards including coaches, gym owners, parents and other athletes. I'm sure you wouldn't want your teammates to make you feel like they are "stuck" with you, so please keep this in mind. As for why you weren't moved, consistency may have been the biggest factor. If you decide to stay, please make peace with it so you will give as much as the other girls. On the other hand, if you are going to quit I would say go ahead and do it so they can regroup and get started.
