I'm all for more public holidays! My boyfriend's hoping his birthday will be one, as it was his birthday on the 22nd. According to his dad, if you share the birthday of the ruling monarch you receive Maundy money, but I can't find anything about it online so I think he made it up haha.

On a completely different note- what kept me away from the Fierceboard all week: draping and decorating a 12mx6m marquee

I went stand up paddle boarding last Friday. I sucked. I trailed behind the group the whole time...and the group was full of 50/60 yr olds. The wind blew me into the sea grass... I just floated around...and then I discovered I could sit "criss cross apple sauce" on the board...I still sucked tho

It was a marquee we just put up in the garden and themed as "Midsummer Night's Dream" for my boyfriend's birthday. Definite labour of love!!

I have over 70 cheer shirts and I am thinking about selling them. I really need money if I want to go to Worlds but with every person I traded shirts I made awesome freindship and every shirt means a lot to me. Should I keep shirts or sell shirt and go to Worlds?

I tried it for the first time last Friday too! It's tough in wind especially with turning and avoiding obstacles, which in my case were the boats moored in the harbor. I went by myself and in my group were 3 women who knew eachother and a married couple. The wife was nice but the husband was a peach - he refused to use one of the foam SUP boards because "real men don't use foam" apparently. I think I'm going to go again this Friday, it was a great core workout.

My group was about 6 people of various skill levels. Thank goodness I'm athletic, it really helped me out. There were girls who never made it up on their feet, but it was a nice day and not super crowded. Plus sometimes it was nice just to lay out on the boards and float..

so if any of ya'll followed my life on the college thread, you'll know i'm a hot mess who doesn't know what she wants to do with her life i was offered a full time job in january so i took it and put off the school thing for a bit and took some time to reevaluate/save money.

so, there's this school i've been looking at and they offer a transcript evaluation prior to applying so you don't waste your time. so i contacted the admissions counselor and sent her my transcripts. i was just looking at the master's program... she responded that not only could i get my masters, but i was qualified for the doctorate program! and she just so happened to have one spot open and she offered me a seat in the fall semester (pending actually sending in my application of course) !!!!!!!!!!! i'll be a doctor!!!!!!! legitimate lifetime dream fulfillment here. I may spontaneously combust of excitement/fear!! (and ask her for a seat in the spring semester instead so i don't have an anxiety attack.)

I completely feel your excitement. I'm starting my program in less than a month. I really can't believe that in three years I will be 24 and have my Doctorate. It's so weird. Good luck to you!!

On this note, sort of, I was left in the car as a baby.. Thank god my mom left the A/C on and we were in the garage. I was fine until my mom looked at me as she was crying causing me to cry. My uncle busted the window open to get me out. My grandma took me away from my mom until she stopped crying.

So, I'm trying to rearrange my schedule and add some business classes because I want to change my major to something business related. I wanted to take microeconomics and an accounting class and they're both requirements to enter into a business major at my school. And since I'm starting kinda late on the business thing it's super frustrating because they both have lectures and a discussion and the lectures are at the same time! Everything else would work out perfectly EXCEPT for that. So I'be been thinking about taking macroeconomics first instead of micro and the lecture component for that class is at at the same time as a history course that I really wanted to take! Any advice? Has anybody taken macro and microeconomics? I've heard it doesn't matter which one you take before, but does anybody have any advice on taking one before the other or something? I think I might just drop the history course and try and take it in the spring. Ugh this is just really frustrating me because my advisor is awful and I'm just freaking out because I have no clue what I really want to do and I feel like I left switching into business too late.

Yeah boats coming by making waves freaked me out. I was just glad I didn't fall off. I dolphin swam right by me... that was pretty cool, but I don't think I will do any more paddle boarding. I expected to be sore from it but I surprisingly wasn't

Does anybody else know of the band Hey Ocean? I came across them while googling our playlist at work and was looking at the Hollister playlist. Their songs are so cute and catchy. I love them!!
