Open 6 tryouts coming soon! Other than Full House there really aren't that many open 6 teams up in New England but props for them for being able to field the team!

CheerNation came out the box swinging. Excited to see what they bring this year. I know last year the J4 was large, will they be large or is the half team going to R5 and they will be large.....

If they do as they have done in the past the kids that are age eligible on R5 will most likely cross to J4.

You can be as young as 15 now, but turning 17 by next December.

You're right. I apologize. But only for competitions in 2014. Not that many I6 teams compete before January anyway, but someone who doesn't turn 17 until 2014 won't be able to compete this fall.

I thought you were good for the whole 2013/14 season? Same as I5 you have to b 14 by next Dec. to compete?

It's the year of competition, not the year of worlds. If you compete on an i5 team in December, you have to be 14 by December 31, 2013. If you compete on an i5 team in January, you have to be 14 by December 31, 2014.

*For all International Divisions (5 and 6), the eligible age for the athletes will be determined by the “calendar year of the
competition” (Dec. 31 of the same year that the competition occurs) for its age cutoff date.

Example: An athlete that is 13 but turns 14 within the same calendar year (on or before Dec 31) of the event, is eligible to
compete in that event on an International Open 5 (all girl or co-ed).
