I don't think ACX owns that one anymore but I can't remember what it's called now

ACX used to have a gym there run out of Gymnastics Inc, but they do not anymore. That gym was formally Coastal Vibe Allstars. I believe they are under a new name now.

I used to live down there. Nothing against those gyms down there, but they all seem to have some organizational issues. They change names/owners/gyms every few years. Which was why I was glad a name like ACX came into the area and could maybe straighten some things up around there. The same issues came about (more or less) and ACX pulled out. It's all very confusing to me and hard to keep up with. haha

A great gym is Rockstar Cheer. I go there and they have an amazing staff and athletes! not to mention amazing teams all through the levels! Even though it is farther up SC, they are a great gym and it would be worth it!
They placed 2nd at worlds this year in the Small senior division! and there level 2 team The bangles came in 1st at the summit and their restricted level 5 team chili peppers came in 2nd.
and the rest of the teams came in 3rd place and one came in 9th!
they also medaled at worlds bronze and silver in the past years! but these were only for the 12-13 season!

Rockstar is a little over 4 hours from Myrtle Beach. Not exactly an easy trip.

Yep. Rockstar is great, but not exactly the trip a college student can make to coach there when they are looking to MAKE money. Haha

Don't limit yourself to just cheer gyms. My son, who hasn't done gymnastics since he was 8, got a job coaching tumbling at a gymnastics gym when he moved to Texas. He loves it. Check out places like Little Gym also. I'm sure they'd be thrilled to have a competent, skilled college student to help out.

I know you're looking to coach at an allstar gym but I don't exactly see that being a great schedule for college students as it will require more extended hours and travel. You might want to look more into local rec programs. Easy hours, less travel, and less expensive on your end. Also easier to find!!

There is a gym called Ocean Flippers. The owner and I went to high school together. The last time I talked to him, they had an all star cheer team.

Are you going to Coastal?! That's where I went. Unfortunately, there's not a ton of options when it comes to All Stars around there. Myrtle Beach All Stars is out of North Myrtle which is 30ish minutes away from Coastal. I'm pretty sure Coastal Vibe doesn't exist anymore. I did just see a facebook page for a new team in Conway (where Coastal is): City Cheer - Conway, South Carolina - Community | Facebook - no idea how legit it is. Let me know if you have any questions!

I'd also look into coaching high school, or at least helping out. Carolina Forest HS is right down the street from Coastal, as well as Conway HS. Socastee HS (Go Braves), St James HS, Myrtle Beach HS are all also close. I'd get in contact with the school coaches and see if they need any help!

Also, another Gymnastics gym in the area is Terry & Dons, it's right down 544 about 10-15 minutes from Coastal. They used to have an all star team, not sure if they still do now.
