ok im new sure so im not sure how all this works, but my names anthony, im 15 and i just found out my family is moving to virginia i na few months. meaning i have to leave my current N.C. based gym and all my friends. i tried searching for gyms near the town were moving to, (fredericksburg) but all i found was one small gym that only had level 2 teams. ive been on level 5 for years now and im not to anxious to go back down to 2, so does anyone in or around that area know of any good allstar gyms around fredericksburg. preferably ones that compete at NCA/worlds. ill take whatever i can get. thx

Well people are going to post Fame because you said VA and they don't live there, so they have no idea that that is HOURS away, especially in traffic. So ignore that. :D

Let's rephrase your post to "Northern VA/DC area. Land of traffic. Closer to Maryland than Richmond, but with traffic MD is probably out too"

I'm sorry I can't be more help, other than to say Fame is too far away. Good luck!

I think most people see "Virginia" and think "Oh...that one's easy. Fame." It doesn't' even look too bad on a map, but I know the traffic there and you'd never get there. I know there are a LOT of people on here from the east coast so you should get some good answers.

Also check the wiki - they list gyms in every state there, but you'd have to map them to see if they're close enough.

US Gym List | Fierce Board - The Voice Of Cheer

USA Allstars is in Stafford. USA Allstars (The pictures on the website are ooooold, don't be afraid of the uniforms, lol - they're much less ... busy now.) They have levels from Tiny 1 through S5R (possibly S5 this year?) Good, solid gym (I'm assuming you're not a tiny. I wouldn't recommend their tiny-bootcamp-level.)

Cheer Fusion is in Fredericksburg. Love this gym. Ask @CoachMandiCF - she's awesome. I know they have tiny through at least level 4, possibly a 5R or 5? (help me out here, Mandi :) )

I was going to tag you. But I thought you might be busy removing pink and teal paint and dancing under the disco ball.

Infinity Allstars is in Falls Church and seem to be a pretty good program, Summit, NCA Etc.
Cheer Tyme had a location in Chantilly. Allstar Legacy has a location in Manassas. All look to be about an hour away plus traffic

Though they look close on a map, all of those are at least an hour away from Fredericksburg in traffic. ASL would be the closest of the three, but still a long distance. If you're willing to travel that far, you might as well throw Maryland Twisters Waldorf location into the mix.

Ha! We actually don't close on the house until the 15th, so we're living with the faaaaaaaabulousness of this house until then. I am ashamed to admit that the ridiculous colors and plethora of mirrors is beginning to grow on me ;) </thread derailment>

Thanks for the shout out!!!!

Fusion's new facility is on the Fredericksburg/Stafford line and we have Tiny 1 through Senior Coed Restricted 5 this season :)

If you're looking for NCA/Worlds - FAME would be your best bet because you're going south and traffic isn't too too bad depending when practice is. I know FAME also has athletes in the Stafford/Freds area that carpool to Richmond.

My gym (Fusion) has a Senior Coed 4 and Senior Coed 5 Restricted - we go to Cheersport and trying for Summit. USA had a 5 last year. Anything going North is just crazy because of traffic but there are also people in the Stafford/Freds area that carpool to Twisters who are on Reign. So it's all about finding a gym you like and seeing if they offer carpools too.

I've only been to Fredericksburg twice in my life and it took me just under 4 hours to get back to Virginia beach because of traffic. I'm sure it's not always like that - but it was enough to make me sure I'd never drive through that area again! I didn't go to midlothian but Richmond was a good 2 hours of that drive.

But @neil248 if @MandiCF thinks Fame is doable then I'm changing my vote to Fame (she lives in the area so she'd know better). If you can physically get there then do it. I guess it depends on how devoted your parents are to cheer? Would they drive 70 miles each way?
