I have a question for all bow makers. I've been getting a lot messages about Bow promos from people with a lot of instagram/tumbler followers.
I was wondering if I will send more bows if I use one of those promos? Have any of you used them?
I get asked this all the time! Kids kik my business account non stop asking to be a promo. They always include how many subscribers they have. From my understanding you have a few people that do it and you send them bows every month or so and they promote it on their page. I have never used one because I'm not sure that it's really worth it, especially with how many want to do it, seems like everyone just wants free bows!

I always feel that people that want to "promo" just want free bows. Half the kids that ask me only have like 100 followers too? I have never used one and don't plan to!

So, this has probably been asked 6000000000 times but what's the best way to attach fabric and ribbon when making a bow? I got asked this by a customer at work and felt ashamed I didn't know

Heat and bond... You iron it to the fabric and then iron to the ribbon. The spray glue is a MESS in my experience and gets all over everything. The heat and bond is both easier and holds better.

I'm not gonna have access to an iron in my dorm (unless one of my roommates has one) :(

If you want to make them I would get a super cheap small iron and one of those super small boards! They are cheap, only a few dollars. You won't be able to use the spray glue because it will get all over everything and the fumes will be enough to kill you in the small space of a dorm! :)

definitely heat n bond or wonder under. They're basically the same concept just different brands, so either should work, although some people prefer one over the other. I've used spray glue too and just NO. First of all it gets all over my hands, but second when I used it on my school bow when the fabric came up a bit, it didn't even stay. It did at first but as soon as I like moved the bow from the perfect position it was in to put it in my hair, it came undone... so I'm not a fan.

I agree, do not use spray glue....not if you are making bows to sell. Besides the messiness of the spray glue, it does not hold up. Buy the wornder at joanns with a 40% off coupon. You can get a great very cheap iron at Walmart for $7.00. This is the one(s) I use. I have a $250 professional industrial iron, but believe it or not, the cheap ones from Walmart work better for making bows.....Good Luck!
