Best way to display bows in a dorm? I can't use nails/tacks on the wall.

Not really thread related but I remember when I first joined fierceboard and you were so young. And now you're heading off to college. :(<sniff> Even my fierceboard babies are growing up! (I know it was only 3 years ago, but it never occurred to me that you guys would get older and go off to college! )

Awwww! I feel so loved! I've always admired you as a poster and how you were always so kind :)

I just went dorm shopping with my mom. For the 3rd time. STILL don't have even close to everything I need . This is seriously so stressful.

It doesn't get any better lol. I still have all of my stuff from the dorms last year and I can't even count how many times we've been shopping for apartment stuff. Now that I'm off campus I need so much more stuff.

This is related but also unrelated but not worthy of a new thread.

My sister moves into her dorm next Friday.

I want to put together a basket of "stuff" to give her...aside for the tons of dorm/apt essentials my parents have already purchased.

So strictly trinkets of "stuff".

Any suggestions?

I'm thinking:

Burts Bees
Make up type items
A rape whistle...
We got my sister a bunch of those easy mac single serve mac & cheese containers (that way they don't have to store butter and milk, just water and a microwave is all you need)
Pictures of the two of you and your family!
Bath and Body Works like lotions or little room-smelly-things.
My sister has twinkle lights and tied tulle around the cord, color coordinated with her room
If she doesn't have a little first aid kit, that's always good to have
You've already gone through college so you'd know what to put in it better than me but a little "late night survival kit" with maybe little sbucks single serve things or refresher packs (some kind of caffeinated beverage), headphones, chocolate, a stress ball, like $15 cash, idk whatever you think you need, and you can put it in a cute little box with a label

- The white christmas lights to hang in her room! You don't expect to need them but they made my room so much more relaxing and added just a little something.
If you do choose to go with getting these, check with the school first. I know at my school they are not allowed in the residence halls.

Packing is awful. Everyone's invited to my funeral this weekend because I'm pretty sure I'm gonna die on Friday when I'm moving in.
Hahaha its a struggle. My sister forgot all her hung-up clothes (which included her dresses for rush, which starts tomorrow), feminine products, her blow dryer, her straightener, her CD for her choir audition, and extra clothes hangers. Good thing she's in town... Or else we'd have some problems!

Out of curiosity. You and your sisters went to the same college right? Did any of y'all room together.

Every set of twins I went to college with lived together if they were the same sex. My sister has friends that are twins and will be rooming together their freshman yeah. So I'm curious how y'all worked this out being triplets.

I'd like to think that if I had a twin sister I would have roomed with her....since strangers be crazy b

Yes actually I roomed with one of my sisters This was not on purpose. We call signed up for random roommates but to be in the same dorm building. I was so surprised when I got my housing information and saw that the random roommate online thing we had to fill out from the university had paired me with her. Of course our answers were similar but I would have thought that maybe they would have realized by the same last name we were sisters and had not requested to room together. It all worked out in the end though cause my sister helped me when I got hurt and i don't think any random would have done that for me, We are all sharing an apartment together this year with another member of the cheer squad.
