I'm a former high school cheerleader attempting to transition into the world of college cheer. I cannot for the life of me get the hang of doing double toe touch back handspring. I frog out of my toe touches, which I don't do when I'm doing a single toe touch. I have trouble starting the second toe touch and land very close to the ground.
The back handspring is another story. I go straight back into the spring and usually end up on my knees. I think I'm rushing it a bit.
Any advice would be appreciated :)

For the jumps try doing two eagle/star jumps in a row then try doing toe touches. Also don't try so hard to get your jump really high try the most to snap you feet back together

First make sure your single toe, bhs is perfect! If it's not and your technique isn't good, it'll make a double toe bhs harder.
Do a bunch of toe touch T jumps instead of toe touch toe touch... if that makes sense? So instead of doing the second toe touch just swing and hit a t, but jump like a straight jump. That'll help you make the connection and help you get used to snapping your feet and then going into another jump. If you want you can do this into a bhs to get used to doing two jumps into a bhs (even though a straight jump isn't the same as a toe touch)
Once you can do that work on your double toe with perfect technique, don't do the bhs at the end. Just focus on not frogging out of the toe touch and landing clean.
Then do double toe touch, set.
After you've done that a couple times, try the double toe bhs again. Doing the set should get you used to completely finishing the toe touch before going into the bhs. It should help you not to rush it.
Doing it with progressions ^^ should help, because that way you know all the puzzle pieces are perfect, you just have to put them together!

If your biggest trouble is connecting them, try doing two straight jumps and then a backhandspring to get the hang of that momentum. Once you can do that, do one straight jump then a toe touch handspring. Then once that is mastered, go for the double toe touch handspring. If you dont feel confident, make sure to utilize a spot! Be safe and stay confident! hope this way semi-helpful!
