So last week at UCA Camp I made all-American! Me and the other senior on my team got invited to London and two of our other girls got invited to Disney. Has anyone been on the London trip that can give me details and tell me if you thought it was worth it? It's REALLY expensive but my parents have been working on fundraising ideas for me to go. I just want to know about your trip! Thanks :)

When CP made it she was a freshman and only qualified for Houston. I don't know about the other trips, but she made some friends there she still keeps in touch with. I would never be able to afford London if she had made that, but other than money I felt it was well worth it!

Ugh I qualified for London too and would LOVE to go but I already convinced my parents to let me do allstar again this year (another $3000 added expenses), we're going to nationals for HS (probably another $1000), and my sister is off to college so I'm not going to be able to go :( I'm already probably one of the most expensive of their kids... (there are 5 of us)
if only it wasn't so expensive. I did the NCA Disney parade when I qualified as a freshman and it was really fun! I've heard nothing but good things about the London trip.

If you can fundraise for yourself or work to make some cash for it, I highly recommend. As expensive as that trip is, you really get the bang for your buck that week.

How cold is it in London in Dec/Jan? Weird question I know but we live in the south & our definition of "cold" is totally different than most people :p

Umbrella, scarf, hat, jacket or sweater --gloves help too!

Go! I've heard so many amazing things about the trip and its once in a lifetime. I didn't get to go when I made it in high school and I always wish I had!

It's COLD! I live in the UK and there can be bitter winds along with the cold temperatures. Usual temps for that time are -2oC to 10oC, there can be snow, there can be rain, there can be awful winds, there can also be glorious sunny days. It's the UK, anything goes ;) Just pack for cold and wrap up warm and you'll be grand :) good luck!

I made the UCA All American team last year with three other teammates. Two of my teammates went and had a ball! They make it really fun for you and you meet tons of other cheerleaders. I didn't go because, while it wasn't financially out of reach, my parents didn't really see the value in it. They argued that if it's just a trip to London that I wanted, we could do it, for way cheaper. The cheer part of the trip is literally used two days. One for practice/ the day of the parade.

They were also iffy about sending me to London with out a parent. But if the other girl on you're team goes, you should be find.
It's not a total waste, and for them it was amazing to get out of our town and away from their parents. Overall great experience if you want to do the trip part, if it's about cheer not so much.
