Wait, does anyone actually pronounce it as MacDonalds? I heard that once (I think in the south) and thought it was so strange, everyone I know says it like MickDonalds. Just seeing it as Maccas made me think of that.

Yeah, what happened to them? They were doing well in the beginning... but, seriously, the Dodgers are shocking even this die-hard fan! It's been soooooo long since one of my teams had a winning season (Dodgers and Cowboys!) So I'm soaking this up and thoroughly enjoying it!
The extent we relate to each other stops with the Dodgers.

You can't call yourself "America's Team" and not be located at the nation's capital.

Oh man, harsh. LOL!
Just for the record, I have never called them that. ;)

Sspeaking of baseball I'm so pumped at how well the Red Sox are doing this year! I'm predicting a world series win. And for some strange reason my boyfriend likes to call me yasiel* puig... not sure if I should take that as a compliment? :p

*please disregard any spelling errors on his name google will not load for me right now so I haven't got the slightest clue how to spell it

We call it MacDonalds in the UK, and Maccies for short.

South Jersey = Taylor Ham
The rest of the state = pork roll

Nope I have only ever lived in North Jersey and we have always called it Taylor Ham. In fact if you go into any shop around here it is called Taylor Ham they even mark it THEC +SPK which stands for Taylor Ham, egg and cheese with salt pepper Ketchup.

Well as an uppity Carolina girl I was shocked and confused as well. And disgusted. But I also got side-eyed last week when I asked someone at work if the fruit they brought for our picnic was locally grown....because I don't eat fruit from other countries...and most states. Don't ask... I just don't.

Same here! I stop at the Farmer's market near diving...today got 3 pints of blueberries for $5. It drives my dh crazy because it will take me forever to pick out fruit...I read every sticker to make sure I'm not getting something from South America or Mexico.

I agree with this. I also thought it was the other way around South Jersey said pork roll and North Jersey said Taylor Ham. I've always said Taylor Ham.
