I have 2 new flyers with backgrounds in dance. They're both amazingly flexible but they're both having problems with the concept of finding center and stability. Does anyone have any tips in which to help them?
 
I've told flyers that have problems with centre to balance over their spine, not over the leg they're doing a lib on. I've found newer flyers want to balance over their leg, not their centre.

I've also found that having flyers think about squeezing their abs right where their rib cage starts to separate (right at the xiphoid process) is better than just saying "squeeze your abs". It holds their core more stable supporting the upper body.

Get them to practice stepping up onto a beam into air positions or balancing on a Bosu ball.
