forgive me if this has ever been posted on the boards (i don't recall ever seeing it), but this girl deserves all the kudos in the world. seriously, amazing.

I have them on my Facebook page and the day they posted this video I shared it! I'm in awe of this girl and her courage and determination she had showed by not letting that stop her. It's also very pretty!

Mackenzie 7 years old- state all stars!! She just started working on doubles two weeks ago!! She is now landing them.

Wow, 7 yrs old and only working for 2 weeks? That is incredible progress and guessing won't be long at all before that last 1/4 turn is there and she is tumbling out of them. :cheering:

Ok so I'm a mom!! My daughter always wants me to push her up to an extension when I'm in the pool so she can stunt. Now my daughter is about 15 more pounds then the girl in this picture (this is her friend) I just the other day after trying all summer was able to get this girl up to an extension! I was so proud of myself ... To bad my face was so ugly I had to use a cat to cover it lol.

My daughter is tight but for some reason I can get her above my head and hold her but I physically do not have the strength to push up another 6 inches to be fully extended. I'm trying to work on that! I know it would make my daughter so happy! So I have only achieved part of my goal as I can put someone up!!!! Yay.. Now I just need it to be my daughter.

So this a partial brag post as I have not achieved my goal lol...

Thanks so much!! Whenever we are at the gym, she just goes up on the tumble trak to learn new skills by herself. wont get spotted on anything either. watches others do new skills and then wants to learn them.

No fear of her tumbling unsupervised or without a spot when learning a new skill like that? Personally would be afraid of blowing out a knee, of which I believe girls are more prone to than boys, if not having the right foundation to progress that. Or am I misunderstanding or reading into your response too much?

Maybe too much into it. We own the gym so she has been there her entire life 7 days a week for her 7 years. so she is around tumbling constantly. When she sees a skill- she works on it until she is able to do- I was a gymnast and her dad a tumbling instructor and cheerleader from NC state so we tell her what needs to be done, etc.

Mackenzie has been competing level 4 for the last two seasons also so her level 4 foundation is high. I do agree some individuals and little ones should not be trying the skills they are. But if they have solid four skills and have their fulls on the ground, like she has, they are capable of moving on. when she landed her double we were fortunate to have her cheer athletics idols at our gym that week. But have witnessed others from gyms, where you can say, why are they working on that?

I attempted my standing full by myself for the very first time with no spot , Im hoping thats half the battle landed in a 1/2 position. I was told this is a fast skill verses power and height so hopefully i have it in me. any tumbling coaches care to watch my video and give advice please feel free to PM me. Im so excited to try and work on it more.
