I knew that but it seems we're gonna be stayingMost schools assume you'll have the same roommate each semester but if someone decides to transfer schools or move out of that room/housing in general a spot will open up!

@HeresAThought That is really a dorm room? It's nicer than my off campus housing as well as my first apartment post college...Where does she go to school?

Yep. Its an all freshman residence hall. She goes to Georgia Southern University.
(or graduate)...
Hee hee. That's what I was thinking, "I'd be a 20th year freshmen right now..."
The school I went to as well as others I have visited had pretty much all of that included in the meal plan, although we didn't have unlimited meals, but every cafeteria had the same stuff. We also had Quiznos, Chick fil A, Sbarro, and Burger King that you could use your meal plan with. However, that dorm room is insane. 5 of my closest friends that I graduated with are now at GSU for their Master's, I'm now really jealous because that school seems amazing.I literally can't wait to go back to visit her just to eat in one of the cafeterias. They had a smoothie/coffee bar (my college had a smoothie place and a coffee place but it wasn't apart of your meal plan)...there everyone has an unlimited meal plan...so you could walk in one cafeteria for a smoothie...walk to another one in 3 minutes for an omelet...that they make right in front of you...
They also have stir fry...you put the ingredients in a bowl and they stir fry it (my college had it too...but again not apart of meal plan; you had to pay for it)...
Literally when we ate in the cafeteria with her I showed up with stir fry, sweet potato fries, ice cream....and it felt like it was completely meant to be
They also have Starbucks, Coldstone, Chick fil A, Einstein Bagel, etc
If she gains the Freshman 15 it will be totally worth it.

At my undergrad we had restaurants (Subway, Some hamburger place, a pizza place, coffee place etc)...its been so long I can't remember the name that you could use your meal plan-cash equivalency (so if they calculated breakfast to be $4 and Lunch and dinner to be $6- thats how much "money" you had to spend there in lieu of eating in the cafeteria)...and you also had cafe cash which worked like an on campus debit card. For grad school I went to U of South Carolina and they had like Chick Fil A; Burger King ; Pizza hut etc... and some other places that I never ventured into since I was a grad student... but it all pales in comparison to GSU I think
At GSU their only options for meal plans are unlimited and the eagle cash (?) varies.
The people at GSU actually give me a really bad vibe as well as the Statesboro locals but hey if she likes it, I love it.
Thats really not all that bad. I pay about 5600 for a semester for a double room with a bathroom that I share with another room. So 3 grand a semester is a great deal for all of that. A true suite style is about 6500 for a year. The suites have between 2 and 5 bedrooms and 1 or 2 bathrooms. Theres a full kitchen I believe and a small living room.
Anyone have tips for storing hair styling tools?
I have to share my sisters "dorm" because its absolutely sickening.
That's her room, living room, washing and dryer, full kitchen, and bathroom.
There is also a little dining area with a table I didn't take a picture of.
She also shares with ONE other girl, and her room was absolutely adorable because her mother was clearly the black Martha Stewart and I wish I'd gotten a picture of it but I suppose that would have been creepy.
Don't even get me started on the cafeteria where we ate because they gave your entire family passes to eat on campus on move in day.
Just know that home girl is living better than 99% of freshman entering college this fall...I can't image a better dorm...
It almost made me miss college...until I witnessed my parents spend $800 on text books... Nevermind.
