Well...school starts tomorrow for me and I was wondering what everyone else packs for their brown bag lunch? I need some new, healthy ideas :)

Today was my first day... I bring water (sometimes a flavor pack), a turkey sandwich on homemade bread, some sort of fruit (i love fruit so if we have a lot ill bring like grapes, strawberries, and bananas but if we don't then I just bring one type) and something crunchy like pretzels or goldfish. Pretty basic. Occasionally a dessert like a couple Oreos when my parents actually buy stuff like that

I start back next week but I usually buy mozzarella sticks in the cafeteria or bring a sandwich. I also bring nachos, chips, or pretzels with fruit (usually grapes or apples), water or Gatorade, and an occasional rice Krispy treat

On a side note...I've been taking peanut butter sandwiches everyday since like first grade (im going to be a senior) and I just found out like a month ago that I'm terribly allergic to peanuts...my luck! Lol. :p

Oh nooooo... I love peanut butter, you poor thing! There are some delicious and healthier alternatives worth checking out though, like cashew butter and almond butter, which also typically have a lower fat content. :)

I'm also allergic to cashews, and mildly allergic to almonds lol. I had a lot of blood work done and I'm basically allergic to everything I eat, so I'm trying to go paleo and gluten free!

You're lucky you've been able to eat peanut butter all these years! There are still so many things you can eat on a paleo/gluten-free diet; there are countless websites that will give you product information. The lack of nuts makes it a little bit harder (can you do pistachios or walnuts?) but welcome to the world of protein, vegetables and fruits.

Well since my brother switched Crossfit centers last year, they are a little different at the new one and they like to push for their athletes to do the paleo diet, so we've been doing it here and there for the past year or so. We have a few books and such, we've been doing pretty well! And yeah it's kind of hard without the certain nuts, but were managing it!!

I just found an awesome snack that would pack easily into a lunch...Dry roasted edamame that's lightly salted. It's so good and it's good for you! It's also surprisingly filling. Mmmmm...
