If its the venue I'm thinking about it's perfect for this. There is a sky train that connects to the airport. All the older kids can easily hotel hop to visit friends on other teams by taking the airport shuttles between hotels. It was very convenient to get to and from the venue also by taking the hotel shuttle to the airport and then The sky train to the venue. The one negative is there aren't really any dining options within walking distance of the hotels in the area so either plan on eating in the hotel restaurants, ordering in, or having a vehicle. Although I'm disappointed I'm not going to get the chance to explore Philly, I'm excited it will be a bit closer to home.

Those things are awesome! haha and very convenient. I flew into Atlanta this holiday to visit family, first time I was in the south in a big city, and I was amazed. I'm from a rural area so everything seemed like space age technology to me. I live closer to philly so I'm disappointed. However, who knows if I will be in Atlanta again lol:p

Can someone tell me what the champions league even is. Are all of these teams going against each other or are there different divisions?

I'm cheerlicious!

The location isn't even definite yet. I imagine tickets won't be available until much closer to the event.

False. The location was finalized weeks ago, and announced.. it's at the International Convention Center (located adjacent Hartfeld International Airport in Atlanta).

Hey DJ is there a website setup for this? Champions League, contest info, etc. Thanks!

In her defense, the post you are replying to was posted 6 weeks ago. When it had been a month of everyone thinking it was in Philly and like 5 minutes of being told Atlanta. During the time when getting info on this thing was like pulling teeth. So it was reasonable to think it wasn't definite yet.

Sooo sad! There is a time when Texas Lonestar Cheer Company would have been one of the first Gyms picked for Champions League! ;( o well....... GO TRIBE!!!!!!

The first year we went to Worlds I was introduced to the Texas Lonestar ladies because they walked by in sports bras, soffees and full on cowboy boots.....You can't hate a team in cowboy boots, for real. LMAO

The GICC is the same venue they hold Battle Under the Big Top. If I remember correctly there is no tiered seating. I wonder how many spectators they expect?? Trying to watch Shooting Stars and F5 at Cheersport this past year without tiered seating was ridiculous!

I know, I had to watch them on the jumbotron bc everyone was STANDING on the chairs to see them!

Boo, cp has practice Thursday nights at 7:30. Unless its a gym field trip we will have to wait for the DVD release. Of course I could go myself while she's at practice. That wouldn't be too creepy would it?
