I see. I thought the only reason they banned teams from attending that competition was because it was calling itself a "worlds" and the EP was claiming it was the governing body of cheer. I think that was the rub there.

But the USASF also says you can't compete at US Finals or the Summit you are competing at Worlds. (Which is why I thought these competitions didn' offer senior 5 divisions other than restricted.) I don't think USASF would try to do anything this year. However, if these events take off and threaten the bottom line for Worlds, I wouldn't be surprised if restrictions are added next year.

Just a thought, and maybe it was already mentioned and I missed it, but GLCC Showdown is that same weekend in Schaumburg and that's usually a huge competition.

If the Revolution comp is only Friday night it will be interesting to see what teams stick around in the area and compete at GLCC

Has anyone mentioned that tickets for this competition will be sold concert style? aka you're paying specifically for your seat?

doesn't look like a very big venue...then you will have people buying tickets to just sell them at an obnoxiously high price and people who really want to go won't be able to afford it. I don't think I like the venue from the picture....

I think there will be enough seating. The venue seats 4,200 or so. The Milkhouse seats 5,000. I don't think there will be nearly as many people trying to get into this event as there are trying to get into Worlds, just based on the fact that there are going to be less competitors in general than there are at Worlds.

Wow I didn't know it is that big!! The picture didnt do it justice but I still worry about people buying up alot of tickets to sell them at a profit :(

Also considering it is being held in Chicago at the end of January....

Bringing up this old thread. Has anyone heard about it moving venues or being canceled completely?
Because as per Ticketmaster it has been canceled at the original venue.

Tickets | The Revolution - Chicago IL at Ticketmaster
They just tweeted me back and said they've contacted ticketmaster and that will be restored quickly.

No idea what that means, but if they automatically refunded tickets already that's going to be a mess.

I have heard from very reliable source the event is cancelled and just cancelled my hotel and my flights accordingly!

Same thing here. I'm a satisfied from my sources to delete the Chicago flight searches from my kayak app. I'll wait on official word to cancel the hotel but I'm sure that word is forthcoming at this point.
