Ok so this year me and another girl are captains of our squad. There is no head or co captain. Just 2 captains. She keeps on acting like she's in charge and tries to make all of the decisions by herself. It's like she's competing with me or something. Today I talked to the squad as a whole and said that we are a team and that even though me and this other girl are captains that we should all make the decisions together. Apparently the other captain didn't understand what I was hinting at and she continued to act like a total smart (you know), and she acts like she's better than me. Idk what to do. Any advice?

My eldest daughter was the captain of her high school team this past season. She had a similar problem, expect one of the co-captains tried to take charge of everything. When my daughter realized what was happening she organized a rotating schedule with the co-captain. My daughter first approached the coaches with this idea and they approved it. For example , this would be a normal summer practice schedule,
Monday, Captain: Lead warm ups, teach cheers, lead stunting, teach dance. Co captain: Take attendance, lead stretches, handout papers
Tuesday, Captain: Take attendance, lead stretches, teach cheers, teach dance. Co captain: Lead warm ups, lead run, handout locker signs
Wednesday, Captain: Lead stretches, lead jump/ stunt practice, lead stretching. Co captain: Take attendance, lead run/ warm ups.......
You get the idea....

I'm a co captain and I love it. I guess I would try to compromise. Say, you choose makeup, I choose hair. You lead stretching, I lead drills. See what I'm saying? Or if you guys can absolutely not decide on something together, take a team vote.
