I see that Cheer Perfection is returning to TLC on Wed night. I know that the show got better as it went on. The second half of the season will start airing and a new direction will begin filming. What do the viewers want to see? They will not hide the momma drama that every gym has, they just keep it real. The athletes are just like every other team that wants to win and has crossovers so stacking a team is not even a comment or consideration.

Too bad you won't focus more on the kids and less on the made for TV momma drama crud. That takes away more credibility from the show and the gym than does claiming everyone, including those with solid upper level skills, dream and strive to cross down to a made for tv Youth 2 team. Unfortunately your show will get viewers because it is unbelievable how funny it is.

Why not focus on a real team in the gym, do more realistic editing so it doesn't look like stunt groups are purposely dropping for the camera and leave the moms to an extreme minimum. Just might help the credibility within the cheer world. After all it worked for CJA and their show, right?Read the boards and see which show is more sought after.

I get that more focus on the kids. Believe me, I get that. The first year of something new is always the toughest to find where to correct etc. I think you will find that the end of last competitive season shows which begin airing Wed will give you a little sigh that slowly things are changing. But ultimately the producers have final say of what is in the shows. I have not seen any of the episodes yet but I do know the kids do a ton of community service, appearance and compete at events like Amazing where it is not just for them but have purpose and meaning that doesn't always get projected. How,do I know, because I now am the one that books them and clinics for the gym. In regards to the show is staged, stop by for a practice one day. This is a small gym and has the same thing that most small gyms have dealt with. Even though you may have the best team, there are still bad days and not so great practices. Look at Worlds performance teams the last few years there are falls all around from the larger gyms and smaller gyms that are competing that should be at a caliber of non error. But they are still just like your athletes and Cheer Time Revolution's athletes in that they are human. This is cheerleading in the all star world for a majority of small gyms and the gym owners do control the gym and teams just as any other gym does. If ever in Sherwood, let us know and stop by. I hope that you continue to give constructive suggestions, as all are considered. We have to start somewhere and right now, this is it.

1) couldn't tell you if the show improved from the start to end of the season, after two episodes myself and my two cheerleaders refused to watch it.

2) I encourage you to watch the Cheerleaders web series or Cheer on CMT if you want an outline if the quality cheer shows out there.

3) I've been at three gyms in 8 years (small, medium and large) and I have NEVER seen mama drama like the over acted, contrived, made-for-tv horse ---- that this show produces.

4) as a non-dramatic parent I make a point to avoid exactly the drama you like to broadcast so why in the worlds would I ever elect to watch it at home.

5) you shouldn't have to be encouraged by posters on a message board to make this show about the athletes rather than the moms no one cares about.

And finally...

6) our industry has a hard enough time being taken seriously and, lets face it, people outside the industry have NO idea what we do. This show (as it is produced) only serves to feed the misconceptions, snickers and eye rolls. It is, quite frankly, an embarrassment to the industry, irresponsible leadership and insulting to the athletes.

And if all of that feedback is insufficient, I can't understand why any organization would choose to portray itself the way this one does. People aren't laughing WITH you, they're laughing AT you.

No one actually thinks Honey Boo Boo is an iconic pageant contestant either.

@tigercoachk - there is no way you will ever be able to justify your show here, so go find the idiots that are hooked on honey boo-boo because they are the type of viewers that will be interested in your show. In the meantime, if I were a coach at CTR I would be focusing on improving technique that is much needed for your gym's long term growth rather than pimping out a tv show that is giving you your 15 minutes of fame.

Are you asking for constructive suggestions for the show, or for the gym itself? If CTR was being run in a way that many successful small gyms are, you should not have to look to a TLC show to find what to correct at your own gym. If you want to claim that what is being shown in each episode is a result of the final say of the producers and editors and is really not what happens at CTR, why sign up for a second season?

To be clear: I am not defining successful as the number of Worlds or other prestigious competition titles earned (I do not want to know how many NATIONAL CHAMPION titles CTR has) but a gym that is training their athletes in an appropriate and progressive way, places their athletes on appropriate teams and has gym owners that are doing what is best for their athletes and the sport on the whole. I saw the tumbling video that I am guessing was meant to show off the level 5 athletes' tumbling skills - I held my breath as each skill was thrown and wanted to google "Orthopedists in /around Sherwood" for all those potential ACL tears that are just waiting to happen.

We go to a small gym, have been at other small gyms, and trust me, cheerleading at CTR is NOT cheerleading for a majority of small gyms. Plus, CTR also has mutliple locations, so is it really a small gym? As per your website, you have 3 locations and at least 325 athletes.

If I ever stop by the Sherwood gym, can I go out for a drink with the owners and her inner circle?

Don't get it twisted. Cheer Time Revolution coaches and the instruction of the teams, as well as running of the gym is not what constructive input I was seeking. The gym and coaches are top notch and incredible in their coaching abilities. While everyone has their opinions on a gym, I do not wish to entertain or debate the running or operation/ coaching of your gyms or yours of mine.

This is about the show and getting viewers that don't care to watch to do so. If you don't watch it fantastic. Not forcing you to. If you do thank you and what more would you like to see. I Just want input why you do not and what would intrigue you to.

Only seeking what viewers think a viewable direction for the show would be. Nothing else please.

One more day until the premier.

Featuring a real team - meaning a team that was not fabricated for the sake of the Toddler and Tiaras and Honey Boo Boo's viewing audience to include as much mama drama as possible?

No one here has it twisted but you. You are asking for input and the posters on this board don't lie. If you put your gym, your coaches, your athletes and your parents in the position to be talked about then you best be prepared for it. If you put janky tumbling and stunt technique on national television and internet, it is going to get talked about. If you show a coach (chewing on a straw) that should have been spotting a kid let her do a back handspring and land on her head....it's gonna get talked about. You let an athlete dying to make youth silver highlight her forward roll during tryouts on film - that poor girl is going to get talked about.....You don't get to pick and choose what people are going to talk about when you shamelessly put it all out there for the world to see. There has not been a single episode where CTR looks like a gym I would want my kids to be a part of, and I am basing that on the show you are looking to get viewers.
Believe me - what you are getting is VERY constructive input - it just isn't the reaction you wanted.
