I cheer for NEW YORK CHEER allstars and I'm in international open coed L5 this year we are going to almost every competition this year for a worlds bidI'm moving to Manhattan this summer. I'm a flyer, and looking for level 5/6 (it will have to be International Open, and preferably coed team) and was hoping for gym recommendations

Just Cheer has IOC5 once again. Pretty easy drive from Manhattan, about 20-30 minutes one way without traffic. You should check it out, it's an amazing program!

How far is it by train/bus? I don't have a car haha

By train would be a lot easier but I'm not aware of any very close train stations. By bus, probably 40 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic.

I know this is an old thread, but I am wondering if anyone knows of any cheer gyms in NYC as of 2016! Any leads would be much appreciated. It appears that CJA is the closest (I don't have a car).

LOL don't worry, you miss the new jersey traffic while you're sitting in the long island traffic. I make the drive 3 times per week, unfortunately in opposite times/directions as cheerleaders or I could be a WC uber.

We find the hardest part of getting to WC is usually getting out of NY, regardless of the route we take, and I always go whichever way Waze sends me. We need a WC helicopter!
