Good Morning,

My daughter over the summer decided she wanted to move from poms to competitive cheer. I'm in search of a gym in the Montgomery county and would love any recommendations. I've been to a few gyms and everyone seems nice, but would love some personal experiences or recommendations.

Thanks

I dont know maryland geographically at all, but would you be willing to post what gyms you're considering?

I've only been to two gyms so far both seem nice in different ways Shockwave and Fearless all stars. I think there are a few more near me, but I haven't had a chance to stop by yet. I know further out from me there are some really good gyms, I'm just not willing to travel too far yet.

Shockwave is being run in part by Twisters now. They've always seemed to have pretty solid teams and I've heard it's a relatively low priced gym.

Thank you for the information. I think Twisters is another place I've heard about but I think it's too far from me.

There are a lot of quality gym choices in Maryland. I am the owner of Shockwave Allstars and while we would love to have you join our program, I just wanted to clarify something mentioned in a post above. While we have a great relationship and friendship with the Maryland Twisters (which is also a fantastic program!) we are completely separate programs. We have talked previously about having a Twisters Level 5 team practice at our location, but for this season we have our own Shockwave Worlds Level 5 team and Twisters has many Level 5 teams of their own in Glen Burnie and Waldorf. In my humble opinion, you cannot go wrong with either of our programs! I would suggest trying out different teams and doing a little research about all of the programs you are considering. We wish you the best of luck in your decision making process and we are sure you will find a great cheer home in Maryland. Of course, we hope we see you again soon!

I have never taken my daughter to Shockwave but I have been to Maryland Twisters. Twisters have a great program and they always put great teams on the floor. If you are willing to come to VA.........the Infinifam (Infinity Allstars, Fairfax) is always with arms wide open.

I have friend that has a daughter that cheers for the Twisters. My daughter cheered with EEA, but they are in Harford County. Great gym, very family oriented. Miss them!
