I'm 99% sure these are new, I don't remember seeing them last year (but sorry if I'm wrong about that! Maybe someone like @flipmac can confirm if these are new? I saw them on the AASCF Facebook page and thought they looked great.

it's like a leopard print made out of their logo... i wonder how that will look amplified onto a life-size uni? interesting design idea. they'd probably be too "plain" without, but i'd prefer both to not have all those extra straps. the designs have enough going on already that i don't think they need those extra details, but overall i really like both.

i know the Austin one has the V logo - is the Plano one also varsity?
I'd almost guarantee that's a varsity prototype.

These remind me of PA Midnights black uniforms quite a lot for some reason. They look great!

My new gyms international all girl 6 uniform Icons from Absolute Cheer
Awe I'll definitely miss the old ones, I really liked them! This one is pretty and mature, which when it comes to IOAG6 teams I think is way better that super sparkly with a ton of cutouts. The pieces coordinate so well together. My only thing is the font on the front; I wish the C and O looked more distinct.

I wish Senior Elite would get a Custom GK Design, designed by the one and only @Drkilluzionz - I am sure he would come up with something super fancy!

cea has a contract with varsity, right? because when i think of which gyms would be the first to boycott, CSP comes to mind. with every new "not gk" they reveal i get more and more confused why she gives them so much business.

i wonder if there are any people in cheerleading who feel that cheerleading uniforms need to be stripped down entirely. And that the short skirts should be replaced by shorts, the halter tops should be gone and the makeup that is worn should be gone and that it should be stripped down and should simply be about being athletic and not overly pretty. Are there people who feel that way in cheerleading or do they think that is just incessant complaining and noise when people say this.

I totally get where you are coming from and it would be nice to have that just to focus on the skills being performed. But if this were to happen I feel like teams might lose their identity in a way. Each team gets to create how they want to be viewed by how they look by using make up, hair and uniforms as their medium to do so. Of course their skills will speak for themselves but I think that getting competition ready with hair styled you certain way and stuff can transform you into the performance mode. Kinda like a competition alter ego? But do think things need to be toned down, I can't believe I'm saying this but a poof can actually be too big, for my liking anyway.

I actually don't think it should be completely stripped down as some people do, just to be sure, but in some cases I think scaling it back would make the cheerleading for sure have a better image as a legit sport in the vein of gymnastics and figure skating, as opposed to being viewed as an ugly red headed stepchild of these sports, which sadly is sometimes the case. Competitive cheerleading is ideally about looking feminine and charming and being a legit, determined athlete and the one sport where these two are not mutually exclusive. I know that some people want it to be completely stripped down to the point where they dress like soccer players or something, but I always found that to be nonsensical.

What I was initially saying was what critics of the sport had said. I think some striping down could be good but not too much. At the very least, it should not be treated like a beauty pageant the way I've heard it sometimes described. Especially for girls aged 13 and younger. I also think there should be a reward factor too; high school girls who have proven that they are mature enough to have influence in how they dress and what their routines are like should also be able to have some sort of influence in their routines and their uniforms. Many people are going to passionately disagree with me on this last part, but I am a firm believer in individualism, individual rights and responsibilities. And I think if competitive cheer would embrace these principles, it would gain exponentially more respect among the masses.
