I am a coach from Fame All-Stars Virginia Beach. Yesterday there was a new Instagram page that came up called the Fame Slam Book. This account was created to target and bully athletes in our organization. We are unaware as to whether the creator is currently a member of our program or not, but we are trying to get the page reported and removed. If you have a moment please find and report the page. The name of the account is fame_slam_book. The account is private however we have been sent screenshots of the picture being posted along with their commentary created to attack many of athletes. I figured I would post here to try and gain the support of our entire industry in stopping this and any other bullying tactics via social media. Thank you in advance.

A few of our athletes have been bullied from that ask.fm website. That entire website needs to be removed as kids can post hate messages that can not be tracked.

This article discusses five teen suicides related to ask.fm posts.

Unfortunately, the article was posted before the most recent suicide I know about that happened just a few days ago.

Most of the parents at our gym are making our kids delete ask.fm and I know there is a petition to bring the site down. If you are a parent or coach, please ask your cheerleaders to not use ask.fm . If they have no users maybe they will shut down.

I found another article posted today about ask.fm and bullying.

lol... I should have read to the end of the thread before I went looking for the page.

Ask.fm is the WORST- that site just has bad idea written all over it.

Plus, as it's whole basis is anonymity, it's very easy to create a 'fake' profile of someone else to pretend to answer questions. So wrong.

I hate that site with a passion.

What I do not understand is how, after there was such backlash against Formspring, Ask.fm continues to flourish as a form of social media. It is virtually the same thing. Change the name and no one remembers all the crap that transpired? Plenty of bullying and sadly suicides as well resulting from teens being tormented on Formspring.
