I have a spotted back handspring and I'm working on my standing back tuck but atm I have these nike shoes which are awful for cheer as they're so heavy! I can't decide between the nfinity vengeance or evolutions, I really want them to be light for tumble and jumps but I don't want them to be ridiculously unstable for flying, I don't fly when competing, it's just something I'm learning to do on the side. Are the vengeance really so bad for flying?

I would say go with the evolutions. In my experience with them and this is simply my personal opinion they are great all around cheerleading shoes. They're very lightweight for tumbling and stunting and much easier to grip for bases especially with coed stunting. I've heard that the No Limit V-ro's are pretty good as well but I haven't had any experience with them as of yet! Hope that helps.

I have both shoes and prefer to tumble in my Vengeance. and my flyer also wears them to stunt and I have no problem basing them. The main differences are the support they provide and their weight, Vengeance has a sock like fit, with no inner sole or ankle support but is very light because of this. Where as the Evolution's feel more stable. Both shoes are great, the Vengeance took a bit of getting used to because they felt like socks to me, but the evolution is still a very light shoe, but provides a bit more comfort and support.
I train mostly in my Evolution's because I find them super comfy and compete in my Vengeance. I'd suggest asking around the gym and seeing if anyone has the two shoes in your size and borrowing them to see if you like one of the other better!

Both are amazing shoes and really it just depends on what feels good for you. I would probably recommend the Evolutions since you are a beginner. The Vengeance is the lightest shoe on the market & is great for tumbling. Again, I would just say its personal preference. Good luck!
