I'm always on the app. I get easily distracted during classes lol
But if I'm in my apartment I'm ususally on my computer so I use the regular site instead of the app,

i'll browse the app during the day at work, and post small things here and there... but if i have a larger post to make i always prefer the computer. i do prefer the board's speed on the app though vs. the computer. older/larger threads take forever to load (which may be my computer - but nothing else runs slow, just the board)

i don't follow too many cheer twitters, so unsure about the twitterverse.

at least once a day i find one or more cheerlebs on the popular page of instagram getting thousands of likes in seconds, so i'm not so sure it's dead. i think the boards have squashed it and other than a newbie here and there it's under control. the kids/fans don't have live access to the cheerlebs in the summer, which may also be why it has died down a bit. once the season is in full swing, i'm sure the security guards will still have to come out. (though i really hope the craze is ending)

I use the app because I'm never home, and I like it.. Especially now that I have an ipad I only really get on the computer when I need to type a paper but i always have my ipad or phone. Plus the fact that I get the notifications... When I just use the computer there's no way of knowing if I have notifications but when they're always popping up its hard not to check.
I think cheer twitters just get less activity because it's not competition season, plus the non-updates ones are all posting the same things.
But I think the cheerlebrity thing is just because it's not comp season too, and they have no access to the athletes... It's definitely still there... I see creepy posts on tumblr/insta all the time and people commenting desperately on photos.

I find all this so interesting, since it's what I do for my day job! :)

At the moment I work with around 6 different clients ranging from retail stores to health insurance companies, and I've noticed a massive shift towards mobile and APP usage, it's fascinating. The thing I find most interesting is that people are willing to complete entire transactions via an APP on their phone. For example, they'll place an order for a $3000 mattress on their iPhone. Even though I work around this technology I still find it very interesting the general shift towards people wanting to do things on the move as I'd be a little wary about purchasing such expensive items via an APP.

Regarding the cheer twitter accounts, that is definitely exploding in Australia right now, and lots of new accounts are popping up on Instagram too

I've gotten used to buying everything on my phone! This summer my best friend and I went on a pretty big road trip with a flexible schedule, so we would book hotels, shows, dinner reservations, everything on our phones while traveling from one place to the next. It was just more convenient than stopping at Starbucks to use their wifi and book things on a computer. Doing it so much this summer has made me use my phone for the majority of my online purchases, even when I'm at home. If I want something, I'll look on amazon for reviews, find what I like, go to a store to look at the quality in person if possible, then go to my phone to see if I can find it cheaper online than it is in store. It seems like things usually are cheaper online and so many places offer free shipping now that I shop almost exclusively online, usually via my phone.

Back on the original topic, I use the app 99% of the time. Like others mentioned earlier, I always have my phone or iPad, but carrying my laptop on campus is a pain. I can get my phone out and look at the boards for 5 minutes before class starts so much easier than using the computer. I also preferred the old TapaTalk, but do appreciate how hard you work to resolve bugs with our app. Hopefully once those get fixed I can love the FB app again!

I hate my phone and pretty much despise smart phones, so every few months I check in online to see if anything exciting is going on in the sport. Love to hear and see the new ideas that are being discussed to push the sport to greater heights!! On that note, I'm so excited to see the "Acro and Tumbling" stuff really start to take off. Seems like a real good emerging shot at getting these kids athletic scholarships in the sport they work so hard at!

As for Cheerlebs, it's always been a rather comical discussion for me. I think everyone has really missed the boat on this one, because anyone who's anyone know's it's all about the Dad-lebrities. I've now made the unpopular page 3 times in the last year and Twitter just made up the puke green checkmark and put it on my account for non-verified accounts that nobody gives a crap about. In fact, I'm not only in double digits with my followers now, I lost three in the last few days.

Cheer twitters - over-saturated.

Cheerlebrities - we never liked those discussions, and I think we cat/cow-ed them out of here.

I still use the site rather than the app. Maybe I'm a creature of habit, but there are a bunch of things I don't like about the app.
Who new Cat/Cow could be used as anything other than a noun? Go figure?

I almost exclusively use the app now since I only take my iPad and not my laptop. But the website is much more user friendly.

I'd be interested in seeing if Cheerlebrityism exists, with the same fervor, three years from now. I do not think it will. Just a feeling.

I use my computer the most. Too busy driving Miss Daisy, and working for my cheer check...cough-hack cough...ahem...wheeze...I mean paycheck to use the APP during the day. Sorry, glitter ball...had to clear my throat.

I'm never on my laptop for hardly anything anymore. I'm pretty much only on the app.

I think cheer twitters will pick up when the season starts. There's just not much to tweet about at the moment.

Sadly the same will also probably be true with cheerlebrities. Right now they're sortof out of sight, out of mind, but when competitions start that will change.

The app isn't for everyone. I just use it when I am not at home.
That's how I do it. I mostly use my laptop, but if I'm hanging out waiting for Babydonna at the gym or something, sometimes I'll use the app.

The app is getting developed more and things get stronger with each release. I only have two outstanding issues with the app: text gets cut off while responding and no app badges. I wish I could moderate better on the admin side from the app (but that doesn't effect you all). You know if you visit the board from your phone it will shrink to fit your phone now?

I will be interested to see what picks up right where it left off on twitter. Certain pieces are never going to stop being used, but who uses it and how will be the real tell all this season. Twitter won't be new this year, it will just be a tool that people use. If any of you follow the twitter IPO their numbers have ended up being very interesting.

Last that CheerSounds video has over a million views. Insane! I think you can make around $3,000 for every million views if you allow advertising.
