I hate the 2 per country rule. It didn't quite bother me for the Olympics but right now seeing McKayla in 6th and still out....I'm annoyed.

Agreed. I know that whilst in the AA and Individuals you are still representing your country but it is an individual competition therefore (I believe) that it shouldn't matter what country you are from/representing. If you place Top 10 you go through.

Love the beam routine by the girl at about 58:00 on the video from the first page. Beautiful!
Oh and I love how much Kyla's leo sparkled and her beam was gorgeous!

Kylas floor is so fierce. OMG that music is perfect for her.
Aliya must be so pissed after todays competition. She almost fell from beam and had a touch on floor. But I fell in love with Iordache. You can see how she is enjoy doing gymnastic. Look at her face before her dismount on beam.

But I am so sad about Moors. I really wanted her to stick that DDLO and be named after her. Well she has another chanse at AA finals but I'd really like to see her win a medal on floor.

So bummed about Sam, but his best is yet to come! Such a unfortunate a rare mistake on high bar today that knocked him out of medal contention right at the very end. This was only his first World Championships. He epitomizes sportsmanship to me, always smiling and cheering on other athletes. He's always the first to give them props for their skills. So glad he represents USA!

I don't see other male gymnast touching Uchimura for a while. He put on a clinic today of clean, solid skills and claimed his 4th consecutive World Title. Can't wait for women's AA tomorrow!

I hope Simone and Kyla do well today! I'm gonna be dying in class trying to get updates, haha.

I absolutely love Mai Murakami from Japan!! I've been keeping an eye on her since she was a junior and it's so nice to see her finally getting some recognition! Give her another year or two and she'll definitely be a force to be reckoned with on floor :cheering:

I'm really not a fan of Simone Biles... I don't know what it is about her, but something about her gymastics kind of urks me lol

I know gymnasts usually have stunted growth and Asian women are typically of a smaller stature, but there is no way they can convince me she is 17. I spent two weeks in China last summer and there wasn't a drastic difference in appearance between a typical American teen and a Chinese teen. She seems much more like a prepubescent 13/14 year old to me.

I'm hoping Kyla and Simone can go 1/2 anIordache can get third. Glad everyone is looking good so far!
