Brain research (regarding school) shows that younger kids do better early in the morning (7:30 a.m.) while older kids (HS) aren't ready until after 9:30 a.m. and can go on longer. I would think cheer would be the same situation. :oops:#geekypost
I was thinking about him as I read the issue about boys flying. He is an awesome flyer and amazing all-around cheerleader.
Cheer leading is about showmanship and in this sport there is a theatrical element to showmanship. I would hate to see this sport, which has been a home to many young men...

My CP was on 3 teams last year (mini 3, youth 2 and hip hop). Both of her cheer team practices were back to back so that was only 6 hours, plus 2 for hip hop and 2.5 for classes. I don't think a little over 10 hours was too much for her, but this year she is only on one team so I can have a break...

My CPs team from last year was called Divas and evrytime the coaches called them and said DIvas all these little 7 and 8 year olds would say "to the dance floor, Divas! Divas!"
