Honestly, since she is so young, she'll probably bounce back faster than she realizes! I had a shoulder surgery and was out for an entire season, and there will be mental blocks, but I'm sure she can overcome them. Tell her it's okay to go slow, and not to get discouraged if she's rusty. Going...
I agree. Maybe I'm going crazy, but I feel like I've seen less scary teams which is always good, and yet all us level 6 teams are working so hard yet sitting home without bids. I remember seeing some level 6 teams that were really terrifying to watch, but I feel like most of the teams I've seen...
A week later and I'm still baffled by the score sheets! I feel like level 6 teams keep getting the short end of the stick and it is insanely frustrating. If we are expected to compete against all the other level 5 divisions for a bid, why not just use the Worlds scoresheet? Wouldn't that help...
Will anyone be posting a list of the teams that are going and need/have bids? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just came back to the boards after a looooong hiatus and I used to love seeing those lists before competition! :)
I'm in the same boat. I'm totally down to learn one-handed tumbling, but I'm a lefty and I got surgery on my left shoulder T_T
.....sooo anyone have tips to switch tumbling sides? XD
I'm actually really curious too. No one's ever going to do a one handed RO BHS full, so is it really necessary/safe to learn?. And if people actually did start doing one handed tumbling, USASF would have a fit.
...but if there is someone who does advanced tumbling with one hand I wanna know...
Here's a great tip for a base that I got from a teammate - if you are the main base, after releasing your left hand, crossover your hand that is still on the toe and try to grab the heel as it comes around as fast as possible. This gives the flyer stability sooner and helps make the stop...
Yeah I'm really unhappy with this rule. I agree with you 100%, the score sheets shouldn't be making it easier for kids to advance. I'm soooo sick of all these rules being implemented this year that are just watering down competition. If you want to be the best, you ACTUALLY should have to be the...
As an athlete, I was pretty disappointed that the Block Party was basically non-existent this year. Celebrating the end of Worlds/the season with a bunch of cheerleaders was so fun in previous years!
Realistically, it's going to be hard to keep alcohol out of underage kids' hands no matter...
