I <3 this flyer she is so cute!!
like people say, it depends!! but for my team to be on varsity competition the tumbling is toe back, flip flop back, and either roundoff back, or round off flip flop full. But the thing is that the stunting is wayy more important for HS cheer so they mainly picked the good bases!!
for the flyer: really lift on the way up for the stretch and think about placing the foot (toe, ball of the foot, then heel)
for the bases: make sure to extend all the way up, use their legs, and dont bend their arms when they catch. if the need to absorb, absorb through the legs!!!!
think of it as individual skills just think of it as (if a triple toe back) toe touch, toe touch, toe touch, standing back!!!
it really helps me when i am tired and have to keep going!!
i used to play soccer on the highest level for my age and got bored so i started competitive cheer!!! on my first routine i was never that exhausted in my life...
when your tired in running you can easily pick your feet up one at a time and keep going
when your tired in a routine its not so easy...
the other day when i put my backpack on at school when i was leaving my class i got it on did a big shoulder shrug/clean and a wink face.... it was awkward because my guy friend saw the whole thing.....
that awkward moment when the front rows jumps are above level and gorgeous .... and then you look at the back and see the slackers ;)
hahah jk that happens to my team all the time
oh my goodness i used to not straighten my arms in my BHS and so they put really tight tape around my elbows so that if they did bend it hurt like stuff i should not say.... haha i definatly lock my arms out ever since!!
i used to grip both hands around the foot and it works good for a flyer if she doesnt rock back and forth on heel toe.... so now i have switched to holding left hand on main's wrist and right hand under the foot!!!
