As a fellow NJ gym I am also super impressed with Cheer Pride, the Senior 2's with paid bid to the D2 summit and the other teams they field are competitive and well coached....small gym strong!

Worlds Division I & II Proposal
Last June, Les Stella, Vice President of Rules, Safety and Judging, brought an idea to the USASF Board of Directors proposing new Divisions at Worlds. The idea would split Small and Medium Senior and Small and Medium Senior Coed into...
How about recognition of small gym champion with in the divisions......say 130 kids is the #.... the highest ranking team with 130 or less athletes (and I like the only 1 team at worlds)gets some sort of globe (different from the top 3 teams) and maybe if they are not in the top 10 a automatic...
It seems CSP is a lightning rod for doing the same thing so many other gyms are doing...my nephew is on Warriors and they had a spring floor at their hotel...Had practice with a high profile choreographer between day 1 and day 2 and made changes based on scoresheets...its great coaching...
This thread is facinating and looks like somethings need adjustments...if you are scheduled to perform first in your division you might as well not even show up. Has ANY team going first made it thru?
On another scoring/placement question has CSP forced others to adopt her strategy?...come to...
If you look at the discussion going on in the "Worlds Scoring" thread...the order they went in could have hurt as well, I believe they were one of, if not the first team with a paid bid to go on.
I don't get it...you can have a illegal athlete at worlds...get caught and your not allowed to compete in the same division the next year, but you can switch divisions and its all good :/ why even have the rule.
We are having a problem with GK...we were given a 6-9 week production time, we will not be receiving our uniforms closer to 12-13 weeks, GK blamed the Rep, saying they should not have given us that date :/ and could pretty much care less that we are not happy....to me that the invoice they sent...
Pretty sure they only pay for judges travel and hotel's...as with other support staff (merch...score runners...warm-up room) they use local people, our girls have worked Jamfest events in our area, if I remember correctly they paid $8 a hour and gave them a check at the end of the day.
Soooo.... if a magazine article can put the CA Panthers in not the greatest light. Imagine what a network like TLC can make a small gym look like, maybe we all should not have been so hard on the gym in the Cheer Perfection show.
I feel there is a very strong "second tier" Nationals behind Cheersport, NCA and Jamfest Super Nationals....BATC, Spirit Sports BATB, Battle under the Big Top, pretty sure all these are pushing the 400 team number. To me thats a respectable number for a National over 400 teams.
