yeah that's what i was getting at haha i am sooo confused because my old team did AusCheer and once i hit 18, they would've had to get rid of everyone under 14 so they could compete as open. but im in a new team doing AASCF and i thought we were considered opens, but then i was talking to a girl...
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping you all can clarify something with me because I am so lost. I'm from Australia and my old team (which followed a different set of rules) had ages 17 and under and were in the Senior division.
This year, we have moved to AASCF competitions (which follows USASF's age...
It's more a muscle or tendon, I think I'll get it checked out :)
Oh wow you couldn't walk? That would've been so annoying! I'm definitely going to let it rest up and all that. Thank you :)
I've had it here and there, but it's winter (so it's really cold) where I am and I was just trying to stretch my splits but it hurt so much I had to stop. I had warmed up for a good half hour before hand.
It's in my inner left thigh, like a really tight feeling and it prevents me from doing...
Thanks everyone for your replies! I wasn't expecting so many :P It was great to hear how passionate many of you are about your positions :) and thanks for all the tips!
it's not compulsory at my gym, but myself and 2 other girls have bows which we wear at practice every week! all the others girls ask us where we get them from and it's kinda caught on. you never know, maybe the rest of your team will catch on
cool, thanks for the replies everyone :D
made me feel a whole lot better. i think i'll learn to like it more since i get to tell everyone what to do haha :p
I've been a base for 6 years and last lesson I got placed as a backspot.
I'm worried I'm going to loose all my muscle and it turn into fat. The only thing I can feel working is my core. Is that good or bad? I'm not a tumbler so I can't make up for it there.
Does anyone else have this?
Lately I've been upset that I'll never achieve my one true dream of competing at worlds. It's all I want and I work really hard at home to try and perfect my skills but it seems that the more I work the more I fail. As in, my team has got one quarter of our routine...
wow, she was lucky!
i think that anyone can do what they want as long as they're 100% determined to get what they want. and what you said about working up the ladder is so true. even if you're acting as the coffee girl/boy, at least you're in- you can work your way up.
And will you keep doing cheerleading?
I want to do something that could keep me within the whole cheer/fitness world. Thinking dietician/nutritionist or chiropractor or something along those lines. Possibly even open up my own gym. And I plan on cheering until my body won't physically allow...
I'm don't think that it's a strength issue- I do strength exercises every night because I'm a base anyway. But I will check out the website! Thank you !! :)
Can anyone please offer me some advise on my mental block? It's gotten to the point where I'm almost in tears due to being really frustrated at myself.
I've been cheering for 6 and no joke, my best tumbling skill that i can do properly is a cartwheel. I can do other skills like round offs and...
Sorry if this has been asked before but does anyone else have to stretch loads before they can pull off a flexibility skill?
I have to stretch my splits for at least 20 minutes before they get down, is that normal?
we have ;) but she can't do anything until the girl shows up. for now, just don't get placed in routines but it leaves a gap in one of our stunt groups.
