In the new Varsity Scoring guide they changed the wording in the "HIGH" section of the standing tumbling category for levels 3-5.
"Most of the athletes participate in 1 level appropriate pass and 1 level appropriate jump/ tumbling combo."

Random Question.... so in level 3 we incorporate back handspring step out, turn round off back handspring tuck into our sequence. Under the scoring would that be considered one of the 2 standing skills??? or would the handspring tuck then be considered points under the running tumbling??
I have never liked or used front spots unless I had extra's, and now i'm slightly confused on how it will effect my score in the basing category. My sr 2 currently has 19 girls. I plan on doing two mans but also have a more difficult sequence with alot of transitions that will need full groups...

Since I've already got you on this thread would you mind looking at this video for me? It's a downward inversion from prep level, I just want to clarify about the bases release and height of the release making sure it's legal in level 4.
Is it Legal in level one to have one base holding one leg in elevator, and the second base holding the other foot in a lib position?? We have performed it in several competitions with no problem but at our last competition we received a warning saying "one leg stunts cannot be held at shoulder...

When your bases pop you, drive your arms into a T motion as you ride the pop (this would be when you drive your toes and hips to the front for the quarter turn) then quickly drive them in to your sides while leading your spin with your hips. Also make sure you are spinning straight up and down...
