I'm both scared and excited to compete here, because while the massive venue seems quite daunting, a bigger crowd should boost my performance (hopefully lol). Can't wait to see everyone too! Especially Leithal Weapon ;)
Well my competition season officially starts on Sunday! Our uniforms haven't arrived, one of our athletes hurt her back and her replacement has learnt the routine in 2 hours. Despite all of this we are still pushing through and competing even though we are the weakest we have been all year. The...
Buritz Cheer - Erina (Central Coast)
Gosford Gymnastics - Matcham (Central Coast)
Two gyms within a 5 minute proximity of each other = one big awkward rivalry!
Not necessarily, I know a lot of gyms run open gym sessions up until try outs which usually are in late December/ early January. I'm sure if you enquire at a few different gyms you can get an idea of when they close for Christmas break :)
Gymstars and Starlets Cheerleading probably are your best options for Level 5 teams in the Sydney area. Both are very good gyms, with great facilities and both have amazing success at competitions. But you may have to travel a little, as Gymstars are located in the Northern Beaches and Starlets...
It's random, but I find it so ironic that CheerCon Newcastle is being held at the same place where I used to play basketball. I'm going to be cheering on the same court I once won games on... Never did I think back then that in a couple years time I would be a cheerleader!
My gym is looking to get some new uniforms for the 2013 season, and we were hoping someone knows who could come up with a few designs for us!
The uniforms will be for our Senior 2/3 team.
We want a half top design with the main colours of the uniform being green and white, or green and silver...
I'm extremely excited for the new AASCF Battle competitions :D
Also looking forward to Cheer Con Regionals. I don't know what it is, perhaps because it's a small comp, but I always love competing there.
Finally, to top it off, my team will (hopefully) be competing in Level 3 which is a first...
I know eastbay.com was a good place to buy them but they've sold out of smaller sizes in most of the popular colours... I've also heard Nike stores in Australia now sell them instore (not online) since it's Summer clothing season :)
One day I watched a video of Senior Elite at Worlds 2010 and I loved it so much I decided I wanted to cheer, despite having dedicated 8 years of my life to basketball.
And just for the record, cheerleading > basketball ;)
