Yes, anytime someone suffers a hit to the head (in this situation it seems as though she had two points of impact: once by the knee, and once with impact from falling on the mat) they should consult with their doctor. I would call her doctor as soon as possible and explain the situation...
I may be looking to go in a new direction this fall. I just feel like we may need something fresh & new ... and different. Any recommendations for choreographers in the Northeast?
I was wondering if your daughter was still on BR! They were amazing this weekend - congratulations! You could tell from their presence on the mat just how bad those girls wanted it!
We were actually on the same flight home and all my girls were "oohing and aahhing" over the trophy & jackets...
It was a great weekend! Not necessarily the performances my girls hoped for, but being our firs time there, I'm very proud! Cannot wait to see what my girls accomplish in the off season, and hopefully we are back at NCA 2019 better than ever!
Made the decision last night - we dropped to 12 - I had three girls graciously volunteer to take themselves out after evaluating the situation. I just cannot see my sick girl being cleared and/or even having the stamina and endurance to complete this routine. I'm sure her mother will have some...
Anyone see Todd's most recent tweet:oops:? "My heart hurts....But I am forever a Louisville Cardinal."
Wondering what that's all about?! Anyone have any insight?
This! When I originally spoke with the mother, she I said something along the lines "Oh, so she will be out indefinitely until she is healthy" and the mother replied "Oh, she's strong she'll be back quick." I was almost speechless... it's .... Health > HS cheer, not the other way around.
It's like you were able to gather all my thoughts and actually put them into words!
Massachusetts, I believe it happened about 12 years ago. Very tragic.
That's what I'm worried about! Even if she is cleared - one wrong turn or catch and it could end badly. I feel for the girls who want to compete and "push through" but... health comes first.
