Did you witness the final awards ceremony in the Arena? It took a long time to start the awards. Once they started it went fast. But I swear we waited 45 minutes for it to start. And it was 10:00 pm Sunday night with an early flight the following day.
That must be what occurred. Thank you for the explanation. How funny is tit that you find yourself pointing out yto a judge our own uncaught illegality? Have you also run across an instance where you sent in your routine to have it checked beforehand for illegalities. They say it's good to...
Correct, NCA offers Level 6 an opportunity to receive At Large Bids. However, many teams already have their At Large Bids prior to NCA. My daughter is on a Level 6 team and they definitely focus on competitions that offer paid bidsf that Level 6 teams can earn. They will probably attend 4-5...
Can anyone explain how a team could receive a .33 deduction? I looked at the deduction sheet for NCA and I still can't see how that is possible. But, I don't have a lot of experience in the scoring of a routine.
I know that a lot of Level 6 teams seem to spend their time during competition season chasing a bid in order to afford World's. Often only attending bid events and competing reduced schedules compared to their gym's level 1-5 teams. Alll done to maximize their dollars in order to afford to...
Level 6 International Open teams were not able to receive Paid Bids this year at NCA. Although they could receive At Large Bids. That includes U.S. Teams. Level 5 International Open teams were able to receive Paid Bids. There is no distinguishing U.S. versus foreign teams when it comes to...
With respect to Wildcard Bids at Summit. I think it's all marketing strategy and profit. If you look over the past few years you'll notice a lot more Paid and At Large Bids awarded. I believe this was done to bring in a lot of good teams. Teams that would not bother attending otherwise. It...
Code 3 (District 3) did not receive a Paid Bid to Summit. Even if Code 3 had received the bid to attend there were some parents that were reluctant to return to Florida. Code 3 had just returned from a competition in Orlando a few weeks prior to Summit.
Late to the party. This year California All Stars teams (Ventura) would only attend Summit on a Paid Bid. Since Summit Bids (especially paid bids) were few and far between this year at the competitions we attended, Snipers did not receive a Paid Bid.
I've waited to respond because I didn't want to say something I'd regret. But, time hasn't softened my view.
I have to say I find the statement issued by USASF insulting. They feel they can throw out a little hush money and that will take care of things? Although I'm glad they...
So, where is the part acknowledging their role in the treatment of the spectators, the taping of the doors etc. ? I spent thousands of dollars and a lot of time getting to Worlds only to be treated very poorly at the stadium and ultimately forced to be separated from my child (also a spectator)...
The deduction was not anticipated. The team hit their routine but received a two point deduction for a brief move that you barely noticed even when repeatedly watching for it. It was a choreographed move in their dance. Our coaches were not aware they were committing a violation. There was no...
Before the mats had condensation during Lg. Coed a few athletes had issues following their tumbling passes resulting from the dread of possibly stepping off the abrupt edge of the mat and into the plants below. There was very little forgiveness relative to the mat before you would suffer...
