I'm in Melbourne, Australia. We experienced one of the world's strictest lockdowns - from early March right up until November so 8 months, with only a 12 day period where we temporarily tried to open in June.
I was supposed to go to Worlds but obviously that was cancelled, and now it's also...
I always find this so interesting. In Australia we have Open levels 1.0, 1, 2.0, 2, 3, 4, 4.2, 5.0, 5R & 6. I think because Australia is so far behind the US it makes a lot of sense for lower levels to be available to older teens and young adults to grow teams and clubs here.
I appreciate what the BIO franchise tries to do and I think the target audience is a lot younger than myself, but I'll always be more interested in documentaries and/or series that follow real people with real dreams.
This is a trailer for a documentary coming out soon that follows a real...
New Level 1/2 program uniforms for Melbourne Cheer Academy (Australia). Beautiful crystal starburst around the logo which doesn't really show in this light:
Level 4/5 uniform debuted earlier in the year (please ignore how awkward I look!) Luckily despite the back we've found multiple bras...
I can't speak for other countries but Australia has similar costs. For us this year all the opportunities to get a worlds bid are out of state which involves all the regular costs of flights, transport and accomodation. The main competition for bids is a 4 day event which is costing myself about...
I started very late (about 25) and took ages to get over the fear! The best thing to do is drills. Forget actual handstands. Work bunny hops, l handstands, kick ups to a mat, dish holds, handstands against the wall etc. The more comfortable you get with the shapes your body needs to be in and...
I've listed the main gyms I can think of below, so just search for them on Facebook or Google. If you're interested you may also be in the country while a competition is on. There is a competition in Sydney the weekend of June 10 - 12 and in Brisbane the weekend of June 17 - 19. If you go to the...
Wow - the EXACT same thing happened to the team QCE Diamonds from Australia before Worlds. They were sightseeing in LA and their van was broken into and their Nfinity backpacks were stolen which included their cheer shoes and brand new uniforms. Nfinity supplied them all with new shoes for...
Such a shame! Do you know why they decided not to? 20+ very sleepy Aussie cheerleaders in a gym at 4am all here to support teams that we won't see. Any updates on international teams much appreciated!!

I know it's a different competition but I can't find any information. Can anyone confirm if the 2016 ICU World Championships will be streamed free and live today like it has been in previous years on cheerunion.org?
In Australia we have all open levels from 1 to 6, including 4.2. At a guess I'd say 2 is probably the most popular level although I'd need to check numbers to confirm that. For open age there were only three 4.2 level teams in the country at our national championships a couple of months ago...
This reminds me of our senior 2 all girl we took to NCA. They had braids, similar voiceovers, a couple of the same songs and the whistle at the end. It's such a fun routine I love another team doing a similar thing! :)

We do zero makeup for tiny/mini/youth/junior - only senior (teen) and open teams wear makeup. I personally like the fresh faced look on the younger ones but I know sometimes they have fun adding a bit of glitter or gloss. The older teams do a green and black shimmery eye with red lips
Oh I didn't realise I'll try get them to change the privacy settings so anyone can watch it :) thanks for the heads up

It's not a routine video but this is a short doco about the first team our gym took to NCA that I thought people might enjoy. It gives a bit of an insight on the competition from an international perspective :)

I know a lot of boys who take pre workout supplements prior to training. They are 17 and over but I really wonder how much sugar/caffeine is in them because it makes some of them seriously hyperactive
