High School Foreign Exchange Student in North Virginia!

So NoVA. Cheerleading is generally pretty strong in that area, but it does still depend on the school, of course.

High School Foreign Exchange Student in North Virginia!

All of this totally depends on the school you attend. Unfortunately, it's basically impossible to give you even a general idea of what to expect until you know what district you'll be in or school you'll be at.

    All-Star Allstar to Highschool

In our area, football and basketball are two separate seasons. Most athletes choose to cheer football season and skip basketball season.

    All-Star Is 30 too old?

Honestly, it's more about skills and less about age. If you're an exceptional cheerleader, coaches won't care if you're 15 or 50. That being said, if your skills aren't up to par, you probably aren't going to make a team, regardless of age.

OT random thread- What does everyone do for a career?

Hi! Fellow non-profit (well, higher ed University) here. :) I work in Alumni Relations for a top-10 university. I second what @ct_dad says, most jobs of this type typically only require a bachelors degree, although a masters is encouraged. I work with volunteer leaders to plan events across...

High School List of States That Travel To Nationals

Maryland does not. New Jersey does, I believe.

High School JV Alternates Game ideas?

It's definitely not a thing near me, but maybe in the bigger cheer states? I think my cousin in TX participated in something like that.

    OT Artistic Gymnastics

Yup. Now there are calls for Li Li to resign, which... IDK, I feel like she's done a pretty good job. She's been the best they've had in a while, at least.

    All-Star Cheer Bows

I mean I've seen it, but I don't think it's common. I absolutely did not wear a cheer bow during my years of coaching.

    All-Star L3 pyramid help ASAP!!!!!!

You don't need a back spot on a prep at level 3, so you can do one or two 3-person prep level stunt groups to maximize the number on your team.

All-Star IASF age grid changes for 2022-2023

That sounds about right. I started L5 in 2006 and there was definitely a 5th grade flyer on my team.

All I know is that if I were to try to do cheerleading without my glasses/contacts, someone would die.

    All-Star 21-22 Teams & Divisions

I thought the same thing. It just feels weird. The listing for bases and back spots doesn't say "muscular" or "tall."

Thanks for doing that. I was wondering. Simone's vault really made it impossible to win. It makes me wonder whether the weight of vault scores needs to be reevaluated...

I agree with all of this. I don't love Tom, but I don't think he's the monster people are making him out to be. I do think his team selection was poor, but I'm not sure ANY team could have won in that situation. The reality is, this is a rebuilding year for the USA, not because they don't have...

    All-Star Cheer Shoes

I second this. Most of my minis wore the Target sneakers and they were great.
