Uh, they better be for seats, or at least that is what this mom of LAG CP was told. Not for a particular seat, but tickets are to get into the Field House for Finals, and tickets are limited (I would hope to the number of seats or close to it). But my understanding is that the ticket gets me...
And I saw Titan last year, I think in Atlantic City, and wondered why they were in the large division. Someone pointed out there were more than 8 boys and it hit me how it worked.
Agree. It seems others were just looking at the age grid "chart" which does list 5 as the minimum number of athletes for all divisions, so was pointing out the need to read the text after the chart to learn the exceptions for Level 5 Senior teams.
And yes, it put the team that lost athletes in...
If you go to the next page of the age grid rules, you will see rules for Small/Medium/Large Splits - Senior Level 5 Only. These are what apply to Worlds teams, and it has 5 as the minimum number of athletes only for the small division 5-20, medium is 21-30, and large is 31-36. In addition...
The first team to perform started at least 30 minutes or more later than scheduled. Remember the crowd chanting more than once "Let's Get Started"? Does anyone know the reason it got started so late?
I know that holding it outside creates weather issues, but remember why it was moved to the...
Wow! I was at the Hanover gym last night and saw many NoVa athletes for last year back at Hanover, so I wondered if there would be a Worlds-level team in Sterling if enough of those kids didn't switch to Sterling. I guess so!
CP has been with Md. Twisters for 6 seasons, heading into her 7th. Although different coaches have different styles, and there are always a few "rough" practices each year, CP has had nothing but positive experiences and great growth. Sterling location is very lucky to have Sheldon, who is...
I think the rule was made without foreseeing the possibility of a team turning down a Paid Bid. I mean, who does that? In the usual course, if you have an At Large, you are looking to move up to a Paid. And if you already have a Paid, you are not listed as in the "running" for the Paid Bids...
The team name on Fire & Ice looks too low or too close to the rhinestone band. If the rhinestone band were smaller, it would give the bottom of the 5 Alarm logo more room. Love the shorts.
Would having the athlete show her ID card directly AFTER competing (in cheer, funneling the team through an ID check before they watch their performance on video) avoid some of this? If athlete is checked before, someone can jump in, but not if athletes are taken directly after competing. If...
If she is talking about the black skirted F5 uni with lots and lots of bling, in that uniforms defense, it is 2 years old now -- debut was Cheersport 2013. My how time flies! And F5 doesn't even have its new uniforms for this year yet, so even if she is talking about the blue shorts uniform...
I thought it was hair at first too, so looked at the photo several times. The "horn" lines seem to be in the same place on both girls' bows, so I'm pretty sure it is glitter on the bows.
Trying again -- Not really a reply, but I'm referring to the FCA Gold (Citrines) uniform but can't get the photo up -- Is it just me or does anyone else see the devil horns formed by the gold glitter on the bows? The uniforms are lovely, but I can't stop seeing the horns.
Thanks all! 12 Step -- too funny. I was thinking the bucket was because I wouldn't want to leave for a bathroom break. LOL. Although my wallet was not happy about Majors, I tell myself I am making memories with CP. Very excited to have fierce competition this year. Best of luck to yours...
