My daughter had 2 surgeries back to back, MCL and ACL….did therapy and waited 2 xtra months after getting cleared, 6 months after last surgery, before doing twisting tumbling. Continued with cheer for many years after that with no issues.
Contracts in cheer really don’t mean anything….you did not sign up for your child to be spoken to that way, do not let your child be abused anymore! Speak up to owners/coaches and tell them they have a toxic environment and you will not be returning. Email first so u have documentation. Gyms...
The rough part is coordinating practice and comps between the 2 teams…..some coaches won’t do that……especially if comp dates are the same. Daughter coached HS and did AS and one weekend was crazy with comps for both.
For small gyms like my daughters old one, this will definitely affect them. They have 2 World teams now…..with age of 18 maybe they will have one, probably not as good. We just cracked top 3, first in their state, last year but now 💁
Agree but teams add or scratch with in the month of a comp…….so if they put a schedule out a month prior then completely change it then what’s worse? One comp our times were drastically changed from the first time they put out a schedule…..not fun!
Have fun! Enjoy your daughter competing in this sport!!! Bring your own food/drinks with larger competitions and divisions being spread out every other or sometimes every 3 rd team it can be a long space of time between competing and awards!! $30 -$50 entry fee for 2 day competition, costly...
