I really want to go to Worlds next year...! But I know that you have to buy tickets when you get there, so are you guaranteed a ticket if you go? And do you have to buy just one ticket per day or can you buy a ticket for Sunday on Saturday also? (If that makes sense:P) Is there anything else I...
Hi!
Sorry if this is already a thread, I didn't see any when I searched!
But.. Does anyone know of any college cheer scholarships? I've looked into USASF, WACPC (I live in Wisconsin), and NFHS.. Do you know if there are any other organizations/groups that give college scholarships? (I'm looking...
I agree. There is a fine line between pushing in a good way and going too far.. A few of the moms already seem to be pushing past that fine line.. :/
I don't know if I really like this show.. ):
So I am thinking about majoring in psychology (and maybe minoring in photography) in college, so I was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion about which school to go to! I definately want to cheer (on a competitive team) in college, but I want to get a good education too. I am really...
The Surprising Most Dangerous Sports for Kids | Team Mom - Yahoo! Shine
I saw this article on Yahoo!, and I just wanted to hear your opinion on it..
Some of the comments on this are just ridiculous:P
(Sorry if this thread was already created, I didn't see anything about it!)
Is it worth it to try and change the name to become a legitimate sport?
Honestly, no. Like it was mentioned before, the NCAA would put on so many rules and requirements that it would be ridiculous.. Not saying that it would be a bad thing, but it could turn out to be bad. Honestly, we should...
Some of those comments hurt. For example, "If there is no defense, it isn't a sport. Even golf has some element of defense." What? In my opinion, cheerleading is ALL defense. We may not be in a "contact sport" like football, be we DEFINATELY do compete to DEFEND our school, our name, our gym...
That's how my school is also (sort of:P). JV cheers all home football games, and only varsity cheers away games. Basketball, wrestling, and hockey season, everyone cheers but only at home games, we don't travel with the teams (which sucks:/).
Is it Sousa? I think that is what it sounds like! Our band plays it for parades, but it's a bunch of sousa put together (washington post, stars and stripes forever, etc).. Here's a link to Washington Post! It's the one that starts with the trumpets and the da da dahh da da da da da daahh da da...
Some kids just prefer to be a little quiet or off by themselves! I wouldn't worry about your cp, she'll come out of her shell when she gets comfortable with her team(: As for the girls that have been there a few years, they might just want to stick with their "own" friends. It kinda sucks for...
I think a pro of the small team is that it is easier to get everyone together on motions, dances, jumps, etc. And there will only be two or three stunt groups, which isn't always good, but there's less people to help/watch in practice, so your coach can really concentrate on helping everyone! My...
I like this one! And as for the silver getting everywhere.. Hairspray your face! I know it sounds like a really bad idea, but it works, especially with glitter and loose eyeshadows (you just have to let the eyeshadow settle a little before you hairspray it). When you hairspray your face (wow...
I can do everything I can do on a dead mat on the spring floor! Which is a roundoff. But.. My coach has me working on tucks now (on spring floor)! Super excited!
The rules for my high school and all star practices are generally the same. "Don't be late," "don't stunt or tumble while the coach isn't there," that kind of thing. Just normal!(:
As for high school vs. all star attendance stuff, there's always less people at all star practices. They are...
My cheer coach owns her own gym, and in college she majored in athletic training and something to do with business I think! She's very successful and intelligent! She has a job on the side too, at a middle school tutoring kids (I believe). Hope this helped!(:
First of all, holy cow that looks like a crazy tryout requirement sheet! But I do see where your coach is coming from. Just because you have good tumbling doesn't mean that you should be on varsity; tumbling isn't the only thing on the scoresheet:P I don't think that seniors should be treated...
