8 out of 15 summit bids went to level 2 at ACP. I think it's a huge red flag there is something wrong with the distribution system. It was very difficult for a level 5 team to get a bid. The distribution actually stated the at large bid would go to large gym highest scoring level 1 OR 5! I also...
Will you be working in downtown Cleveland? If yes, you'll be in close proximity to amazing restaurants right around the corner. Cleveland is a foodie mecca. East 4th, Ohio City, Tremont, west side, east side - amazing restaurants everywhere. There are wonderful art museums, the Rock and Roll...
I think visualizing yourself doing the skills over and over again can really help you. You've endured a little "trauma" for lack of a better word when you fell. Your allowing your mind to remember that trauma now instead of focusing on the thousands of successful round offs you've thrown in your...
My cp loves webcamp. She has been doing Sunday nights with Doc Ali (@Coach Sara I think that must have been you a few Sunday's ago filling in?) and truly gets a lot out of the hour. Cp has fear issues and blocks on backwards tumbling and so far webcamp has helped her understand how to keep her...
omg i just read 7 pages of NOTHING....It's time to go to bed. Nothing could be truer of this entire thread than quoting Mr.Seinfeld below:
"I am so busy doing nothing... that the idea of doing anything - which as you know, always leads to something - cuts into the nothing and then forces me to...
Just saw this on twitter - ECE C5 performed at the celtics vs knicks game. I'm floored! By their absolutely amazing routine and the fact they were stunting and tumbling on a hardwood floor . They killed it though.
This kind of bothers me. I understand it is frustrating when kids are not throwing skills they are perfectly capable of doing. BUT the bottom line is that they must not truly be ready to "throw" that skill in a choreographed routine. Perfection before progression. If a kid isn't confident in...
False...stay at home cheer mom, but still procrastinating getting the kids to bed...
TPBM is having a real bad day and just needed to veg out by reading FB!
They look great in the picture but let's be realistic. The stomach mesh just doesn't look good on all body types! They look fine on Cassiday and the little sister, but I'm pretty sure they probably have a few girls on that team that may have a little "baby fat" around their midriff...
I'm not saying it's bad idea at all, I agree with you. I just meant how many gyms could actually take a youth team with all the cheerleaders being 9+...know what I mean.
Just checked out the link. Crossover and age requirements are very interesting. I totally agree with only 1 crossover either +/- 1 level. The age requirement is crazy though. Youth age girls have to be 9 years old and up?! How many youth teams do you know of that do not have girls on it...
Wow! This could really open up a pandora's box of problems and complaining. On one hand, I understand why a team wouldn't have enough time to make arrangements to get to the Summit that late. However, they shouldn't have received a bid that close to the competition. We've had so many...
I completely agree with you! I'm all for getting rid of the lace and the one shoulder sports bra's. They should be practicing comfortably and dressed like the hard working athletes they are! I used to not be a fan of the sublimation uniforms but I have totally changed my mind. The material...
LOOOOOVED IT! Amazing jobs ladies! You peeled it down to the truth...hard work, trust, determination and friendship. No mention of bows, tans, cheerlebrities, etc. BRAVO!
Personally...there is no comparison. The level of competition, the difficulty of getting a bid to the summit...just not on the same scale as US Finals. We've gone to US Finals 2 years in a row, it's just like any other comp all year. The summit was by far the toughest comp I have ever seen for...
According to Varsity's website coverage will be $14.99 PER VENUE, per day. Yes, I'll say it again...per venue. So in case you have 2 kids performing in 2 venues, (or even 1 kid performing in both venues) you would have to spend $30 for each venue PER DAY! Ouch.
The Official Site -...
