That’s my hope for her. The cycle of getting her tumbling back, gaining new skills, and then blocking before comp season starts has taken its toll on her. She’s pretty much given up on all star cheer even though she loves the sport. She’s been on a level 4/5 team for the past 5 years but I could...
Oh yeah I completely understand. Val has blocked on and off for about 7 years now. It’s heartbreaking because her tumbling is beautiful. She feels she lets her team down when she blocks even though she knows it’s anxiety causing it and there’s nothing she can do.
This division would be a dream for my girl who struggles with severe mental blocks. Unfortunately I don’t think any gyms in our area are offering this.
I'd love to say yes because we come from a small gym and our kids are held to the highest standards of behavior at competitions. But do you think it may be a pure numbers game? ie Big AllStars has 500 kids plus their parents at a comp while Small All Stars has 70. Therefore they are more...
I totally agree. There's nothing quite like a team that knows they just hit and lets loose in their dance! And I find it so anticlimactic when the flyers casually climb out of the pyramid when it's the end of the routine. Even if they've nailed it, the moment the music stops is more of a "give...
12 yo CP has blocked on and off for several years. She was throwing a full last spring and was blocked by the end of the summer. Currently, she will throw a punch front but is inconsistent with all backwards tumbling right down to her bhs. It's been an increasingly stressful time for her.
She...
Couldn't agree more. As a parent of a child who has suffered from blocks on and off for the past 3 years, my first thought was the potential irreversible damage to a child who is struggling with tumbling but maintaining a good attitude and strong work ethic.

I like the direction this uniform is going in. I think it's a good mix of bling and athleticism. It's also a refreshing change from the skimping down trend. It has a "we are athletes and not sex symbols" look. There's something about the right side of the drop belt in the design I don't like...
To appease yojaehs...
I have a pet peeve with teams that use kids way younger and smaller and who have obviously lesser tumbling/jumping/dancing skills to fly just because they are 20 lbs.
Happy? Geesh! Next time, if you don't like a word used, you can post "oh I don't like that term" but...
Kind of rude. For one, I didn't make up the term. Secondly, it's used here over and over again. Third...
Oh forget it, it's not worth it. I just see no reason to argue with someone who is going to post rude remarks.
She flies, right? So what if it was a youth 3 where she wouldn't fly or a jr2 where the highest tumbling would be a bhs?
I was against younger ones on a sr team initially as well, but her maturity, commitment to the sport, and attention span fit much better with the senior kids than the youth 2...
