    High School Dealing With Parents.

Yes, meet with her (with the AD present) and try not to come off as too defensive. If she's not on the squad anymore, then what is the mother hoping to accomplish by meeting with you? Is it something like that she wants to be able to explain to her daughter exactly what happened? Or, is she...

High School Convincing Parents To Get Their Kids Enrolled In Tumbling Classes

Also, I think high school coaches need to learn how to teach tumbling skills and/or hire an assistant coach who is a certified tumbling instructor.

High School Which High School Teams Are Known For Their Tumbling?

But what about CANAAM? Isn't that in Myrtle Beach? SC schools don't compete in it?

    Hopelessly Un-flexible

Stretch every night. I believe in holding splits for closer 2 minutes. 30 seconds is too short IMO. Remember to exhale as you push yourself to go deeper into your stretch. You can also use a partner to gently push you deeper into your splits, pikes, straddles, etc.

    Hurdler Stretches?

Do splits. Also stretch your quads. Power comes from abs and glutes.

So they don't go to UCA Nationals? They would probably do very well there if they did.

High School Convincing Parents To Get Their Kids Enrolled In Tumbling Classes

Do some of the girls already have a back handspring? Because if you have at least 5 w/one, then I would say that a back handspring will be a requirement to make Varsity next year. Also, you should make them do at least 10 back handsprings with a spot every practice. Make the girls get excited...

High School Which High School Teams Are Known For Their Tumbling?

Interestingly, the Georgia teams had music only and the Michigan ones had no music at all. The tumbling from these programs is a lot cleaner than normal. Asiantumble10, that's awesome that most of the teams in Georgia are like that. How do the teams in Georgia build their tumbling programs?

High School High school competition choreography

That's an interesting question. I've never used a choreographer before, but what have you been doing to find one? Why haven't you had any luck? Are they booked?

High School Which High School Teams Are Known For Their Tumbling?

I know Greenup County High School used to be when I was in high school. I think they had like team fulls or something. I'm not sure how it is now since many teams have team tucks.

I've Cheered For 7 Years But I'm Not Flexible At All. Any Help?

Stretch daily. Gabi Butler has her stretching routine on youtube. You can use that as a guide. Do crunches and other ab workouts to improve your jumps. And do each jump at least 10 times a day. Good luck. Ask your parents if you can take a tumbling class twice a week. Before you enroll...

All Star Cheer Vs Gymnastics Team

It depends on the quality of the gyms and your end goal. If you're thinking she/you want her to end up a cheerleader, then it really depends on how well tumbling technique is being taught at the cheer gym (and maybe the gymastics one too since those aren't always great). If the gymnastics gym...

    All-Star Cheerleaders Episode 10

Am I being picky? They have some great tumbling, but why can't some of them keep their legs together on their back handsprings?

    Backhandspring

Sounds like it's mental. Maybe you should condition more and see if you can practice with a gymnastics coach? I find that cheerleading coaches don't care about form as much. When I was a cheerleader, all of the skills that I learned from when I was a gymnast were beautiful and powerful. All of...
